โ โ โ โ โ hidden gem of a casual joint tucked away on the third floor of Cuppage Plaza, serving Japanese food wth a twist. Love the pasta noodle soup, slurpable to the last drop. the beef was just as tender and mouth-meltable. highly recommended for those who want a night out of great food supplemented by a great array of sake. book a table now!

โ โ โ โ โ Went on a wed for dinner with reservations for 6.30pm and place is packed. But seems like max seating is 8pax around the chef's station.
Service staff is attentive and prompt in clearing the plates after we are done with each dish.
Each dish served was well up to standard except for the smoked duck and mushroom pasta which was a replacement for the uni pasta.
Not a place that one will stumble upon and more like a hidden gem that those who know will patronize.

โ โ โ โ โ Amazing food with a friendly service by the waitresses. Sashimi moriawase was beautifully plated with thick slices of sashimi. Simply a feast to the eye.
Had the Kagoshima wagyu and it was so good. It was tender and infused with fragrant smoky wood taste. Recommend ordering it medium rare.
Ebi pasta is another one of the must order. Did not leave a single drop of soup as it was very flavourful and comforting.
The Tako karaage was crunchy and juicier than the typical fried squid as the octopus legs were much more plump than squid tentacles. The otoshi Chawanmushi topped with generous ikura and buried with various ingredients inside is simply a steal at just $5.

โ โ โ โ โ All I can just say is that I really like this place!
The staff were really friendly and they were super attentive. I know that they are really sincere and they put in a lot of effort in trying best to service their customers even though it was very packed that evening.
We ordered a few signature dishes and they were all so good! It was a really sumptuous dinner. They also served a wide range of sake and we were recommended a few choices by the staff so that we could narrow down to make a decision eventually.
The star dish undoubtedly has to be the Yukimuro Wagyu beef which is grilled over the applewood dusted binchotan, leaving a smoky finish boasting their undeniable umami flavour. You can also leave it a little longer to have it more cooked or remove it to have it as medium rare. It's a "Must Order" for Beef Lovers!
Another dish that I really loved was the lamb rack which they grilled it so well that it does not have the gamey taste. Honestly, I'm not a fan of lamb meat but I really must admit that the meat is so succulent and good. Apart from having fish caviar, their pumpkin and cucumber mash is surprisingly really very tasty. I've never tasted anything like this before.
My friend also ordered their Ebi Pasta which is an interesting take on traditional pasta, as it comes in flavoured dashi broth instead of gravy. The prawns were so plump and sweet. The chef fried them first to bring out the fragrance of these crustaceans.
The 5 kinds Sashimi Moriwase was also very yummy as I'm a big fan of Sashimi. It features the Cargo fish freshly flown in from Japan. It had Robin fish, Hirame, White Flounder, Hamachi (yellowtail), Otoro (fatty tuna) and scallops topped with fish egg roes. The Chef even had a little bunny made from cherry tomato which was so cute that I didn't even bear to eat it.
Apparently, I was also told that we can order an entire fish depending on the season which the Chef can prepare it in 2 ways which is to serve it in the form of Sashimi and to cook the rest of the meat with soup.
The other dish which I absolutely enjoyed was the Miso eggplant . It was so well grilled that I even finished eating it with the skin. It's a flavour bomb of a dish.
Ended off with their homemade Pistachio Gelato, made with pistachios from Italy! It was not too sweet and has a great texture. The Gelato also comes in other flavours like Genmaicha, Houjicha, Kinako and Black Sesame which are also available in the 2 well-known Japanese supermarkets - Sakuraya and Medi-ya. Its a well worth wait for our food!
We will definitely be back again!

โ โ โ โ โ Cuppage been quiet in this covid environment. Ambience dark quiet, counter seating style hence casual setting. They have private style seating(min $100/pax spending). The counter seat is fine really. Food quality gets the 5 star rating.
The appetizer is worth the $5/pax, beef is tender. Fresh mussels butter yaki. Lamb chops recommended. Les Tartes Passion to end the meal. Great dining experience, maybe because the area still less crowds! Expect $70-80/pax exclude alcohol on Ala Carte menu.

โ โ โ โ โ Visit Hibachi for the first time recently with 3 other friends.
Didn't expect much from it's humble venue. Small restaurant with bar seats and a separate private dining area. Dark and cosy environment in the private dining area, can get a little noisy if it's full house with rowdy crowd.
Service was good, attentive and chef's menu beside the bar is updated daily. Food was amazing, Hibachi serves a variety of dishes that are suited for even for diners with more adventurous tastebuds.
Lamp chop was intense and flavourful. Stingray fins were my new found favourite snack with alcohol. Sashimi was fresh and thick. Smoked duck pasta sounded western but tasted very Japanese! Overall, every dish did not disappoint. The restaurant was gracious enough to accommodate to us even though we left slightly later. I'm impressed by the experience this place left us.
Definitely going back again although price is on the steep side. It's worth for food with such quality!
