Pricey but nice. Bit surprised the ratings are so low, I've tried (and come back) to HarriAnns pretty frequently. Service is always friendly, and the kuehs are really nice. A bit sweet, but nyonya cakes are best taken in small quantities. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but quality costs money.

I used to be a fan. Returned today after a long time only to find the signature glutinous rice disappointing. The rice was hard and didnt taste fragrant. The yam cake looked dry and looked aged at the edges after we open up the package. Didnt even bother to eat it. Hope it's only an isolated incident of sub par cooking.

Big fan of their kuehs, especially their ondeh ondeh. Absolutely love their Chu Bee Png (glutinous rice) as well, and I'll always tahpao a packet back to the office to eat as an afternoon snack. You can really taste the love and pride they put into their food, and sets them apart from the mass-produced, industrial taste of the bengawan solo kuehs. These places are getting rarer in Singapore everyday, and should be savoured while they are still around.

Having read so much on the kueh, I a true blue Peranakan decided to try it. The ondeh ondeh is definitely out of this world, much better than my favorite bengawan solo. As for the rest of the kueh like salat, pink fairy, overall not bad. But the salat at bengawan solo got a more authentic kaya taste to it. The people working at this store is nice, friendly. I do not know why reviews of the lady being grumpy, to me sheโ€™s perfectly fine!

I bought ondeh ondeh and an assortment of kuih from the Uncle...a bit pricey than normal prices but the quality is GOOD. RECOMMENDED.

Savoury sticky rice with a small topping of sweet sticky rice has been my favourite since childhood. And this stall has it and cooked it very well. So, everytime I visit Tiong Bahru Market, I must buy this. But it runs out fast. Fortunately, there are now a few branches elsewhere in Singapore

Tried the ondeh ondeh ($5.30) and kueh kosui ($4.50) and both are good. The colourings look natural. I like that the ondeh ondeh has a small chunk of sugar inside to bite but find that the skin is a little on the hard side. The kueh kosui comes in two flavours (pandan and gula melaka?). E-payment is available.
