Food is fresh and like the portion size which is small so that I can choose more variety to eat.
Only complaint is the tomato soup which taste kinda wierd.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the higher end Mala steamboat. Please just go for the Set B buffet where you can have the premium pork, beef and lamb. I ordered the normal ones to compare and there is a vast difference. The best was the snowflake beef, then black pork and lastly the premium lamb. In addition for Set B the BBQ sticks ans many of their homemade beverages like Bobo Tea and Fruit smoothie comes free together with the price. I recommend ordering an beer to add into the fruit smoothie and you'll have a jolly good time. MY wife and I are small eaters and we feel like failures sitting in the middle of all the young people who are ordering trays stacked up trays of food. But if you've got the extra cash to spare, the ambience is great with GEM playing the background and good air-conditioning to cool off the heat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The general feel when entering this place is that its young and hip. A little crammed but that's really ok. The food and drink choices are pretty out there. I like that it seems clean and bright! The mushroom soup base is a little bland though. But this is value for money.

We went with Set A buffet, $21 after 30% on a Saturday late noon.
Chose Pork & Tomato soup base, well seasoned & flavourful.
And you know certain eateries that runs on buffet mode, they will reduce the serving portions in your subsequent orders or your orders would be missed out.
Not for HipPot, portions remains the same throughout.
Buffet set comes with Mingo ice cream too.
