β β β β β My family of five had a buffet lunch at Yoshi Yakiniku (Rail Mall) on a Sunday. It was not as crowded as we expected. Some young floor staff are apparently new to this business and will take some time to becoming a better server. Nonetheless, good wide selection on the menu with quality meat. The ice creams are surprisingly impressive too. A place worth going again and again.

β β β β β Located at the end of the Rail Mall, near the Upper Bukit Timah Truss Bridge, Yoshi Yakiniku & Mart serves up Yakiniku in BBQ style but it has a good air suction system. There is a current promotion of Buy 3 Free 1, where the 4th person eats for free, till the end of January 2022.
This place specialises in A5 Miyazaki Beef and US Black Angus Beef. Unlike other Yakiniku places, the meat here isn't cut properly in the sense that there were tons of excess fats and trailing tendons. Other than that, the meat was generally fresh. In terms of serving size, each serving is good for 2 pax, so there is no need to order 4 servings if the group has 4 pax.
The sashimi fish served definitely did not look like any tuna served at other restaurants and, being on the safe side and cooking it, the fish meat actually had a tinge of sourness to it. Stay away from the Tuna Sashimi!
The cooking experience was generally OK but due to the excess fats on the meats, it resulted in plenty of flame flares, which is both exciting and unsafe. Hence why most Japanese Yakiniku place always remove the excess fats. It is good to leave a little fats on for flavouring but not too much to the point that the meat catches fire each time it is flipped. Also, the meats here after cooking tasted a little flavourless and needed the provided sauces to enhance its flavours, which is a pity as a good piece of meat should be able to taste good on its own without any seasoning.
The really good part of the meal though was not in its meats but its desserts. The Vanilla Crepe was wonderful and the Taiyaki was enjoyable with its custard fillings. The Black Sesame Ice Cream was good too. If the desserts are more affordable, a return visit may be considered just for the desserts only.
General Verdict: A Japanese Yakiniku place that serves better desserts than meats

β β β β β Parking could be limited during peak hours. Servers were patient and friendly given that this was a newly open place. The buffet option was so worth. It is probably the best value buffet in whole of Singapore given what they serve. The beef was so so good. The scallops, oysters, sashimi and Ika were all so so good. Most surprising was their sesame ice cream. One of the best I have eat in a buffet.

β β β β β A wide selection of beef. Very good and premium quality A5 beef that you can ever have. Seafood selections like the prawns and oysters are also top quality as well! However the buffet is only available till end of jan! So come when you have the chance! If you are a beef lover and can eat a lot, this is the right place for you! It will be worth your money.

β β β β β Wanted to try as soon as it was opened at The Rail Mall and finally fulfil my wish.
Not too crowded probably it is not well-known yet since the shop is still new to the location.
Staffs were attentive though they looked in-experienced.
We felt meat colour was a little changed but it was tasty. All plates were reasonably priced.

β β β β β Food quality is not bad at all. Service is above average, price is on the high side. But that's probably because it comes with good meat.
Beef n pork are generally tasty. Will be back.
