The atmosphere was very bright and happening. Not what I was expecting with a Japanese restaurant ? But because it is so big, the queue moves quite quickly. In terms of price, I think it depends on what you order. The regular chirashi don and upsized chirashi don are very worth the prices, but some of the more expensive items maybe not so much. I ordered the luxe-premium uni chirashi. There was only 3 pieces of uni inside so I do think it is a bit over priced. The uni also did not taste very fresh. But the other fish taste great! I especially enjoyed the swordfish. The sauce they used for the chirashi bowl is very nice also. Goes very well with the sashimi. Overall quite a good experience. I would return, but I’ll order a different dish

Their salmon belly ikura don is so awesome. Every piece of salmon is so fresh and flavorful. Come at lunch time for the top up of premium set - only $8.80 for all the side dishes including chawanmusi!! There's usually quite a long walk-in queue so it will be more convenient to make a reservation before you come. You can only start to make reservations two weeks prior to your intended visit.

We booked in advance to avoid the queue and were so glad we did (spoilers: queue for no reservations was super long!). Food wise, the portions were huge - I got the upsized chirashi bowl and could barely finish half of it. It was fresh as well and I could see where the hype was coming from. Service was alright, the usual in Singapore tbh you wouldn't really expect any more. Regardless, 100% recommended to try at least once even if you stay in the East.

Best to make reservations one month in advance to avoid queuing. Food is not overly fishy. Tempura is light and crispy. Minus one star - their green tea is non-refillable as stated in their menu. Other Japanese establishments serve refillable green tea…

Super popular Japanese restaurant at Thomson Plaza. Best to make reservations b4 heading down. Note that there're 2 queues, 1 for those who made reservations & 1 for those without reservation.. & yes I was caught off guard. Service was excellent & the dishes were amazing!

Amazing Japanese restaurant hidden in the corners of an old shopping centre. Ambience was great and service was prompt. Tried some of their sashimi and sushi. Manage to catch a glimpse of some of the Dons (rice bowls) and they all really delicious! A must try place and I would definitely return to try their Dons and other items on their extensive menu :)

Always a long queue whenever we passed by and we finally decided to join in the queue. Our family Love Japanese cuisine and the Dons at Omote did not disappoint. Salmon is fresh and juicy and the roe is popping delicious. A very satisfying meal!

Ordered the unagi bowl set meal and garlic beef bowl. Food was served fast and service was great. Side dishes were fresh and delectable especially the seaweed and salad. However, price point could be a bit better. Great ambience all around.
