Milk tea is too sweet for me
26 Sep - My 5th visit to buy pineapple bun. I bought 4 pineapple buns. Crust texture was very different from previous visits. It was very thin and soft, not sure whether cost reduction or consistency issue. I was very disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the eggs tarts! They are really good probably the best I’ve tasted in Singapore. Almost almost on par with best in Hong Kong. Agree with others, the polo bun is quite average in taste but looks great from outside :) curry fishball is so so, can’t compete with the real stuff in HK. A little pricy compare to others, but come here for the eggs tarts! It’s worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The curry fishball is unique. The curry taste pretty close to the Japanese curry. Each portion has about 6 pieces.
The pineapple bun is the best I’ve tasted . The crust is not too sweet , just nice to balance out the butter in the center. Love it! Will come back for more.
Egg tart is flaky and custard is soft and moist. Kids love it and compare it to crystal jade’s egg tarts; kid’s comment is that crystal jade’s has a sandy texture to its crust , while joy luck’s doesn’t. Kid’s verdict - perfect egg tarts !?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a hong kong pastries shop specialise in egg tart and polo bau only. I have to admit, their egg tart is one the best l have ever tasted in Singapore ?. I also enjoy their hong kong ice milk tea, it is very good ?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I lived in hk for a few years. Was missing 菠蘿哦油，港式奶茶，檸茶，and the whole HK CCT feel.
Disappointed.
Today I ordered in Cantonese which I was naive to expect the staff to be able to understand.
I was thinking the hk milk tea felt like a local kpt tea c.
The bolo yau I had a week ago, I can't remember much except for the good butter.
At least the the 酥皮蛋撻 was OK though not great despite it bring warm.
My wishful thinking would be the company gives the seniors a chance to man his stalls and at least be able to interact with some Cantonese. FbB is not just FnB, but the whole experience especially against the price customers pay.
I am sorry I didn't finish my milk tea.
