Meal is decent for the meatball set. Tad too salty for my liking. Noodle texture is good. Service is good

Tried the Chicken milk udon and the Kimchi udon ,both broth are tasty. Above par for the udon sets but the desert is good , especially strawberry lychee rose tart . IMO , a great stop for your dessert craving.

Ordered the signature parfait, and it wasn't great. The initial taste is nice when you taste the top portion of the parfait. That portion is the matcha ice-cream with red bean ice-cream, which is good. Eat further down and you'll get to the cream(?) portion of the parfait (which fills up about half the cup). It tastes rather dense, and based on my personal opinion (and my friend's), and it doesn't really complement the matcha ice-cream. You'd find some corn flakes in the parfait, which is a nice addition. There's 2 pieces of waffle-tyoe biscuits, and 2 pieces of cube which resembles cake of a dryer version. The parfait also comes with 2 pieces of round type mochi(?) - like tangyuan, and 2 pieces of warabimochi. Warabimochi's not bad. The bottom of the cup is filled with some matcha (jelly type) of substance, which I find too bitter for my taste. I think that's be good if there's some red bean to accompany it. Overall, it's not a dessert I'd order again. The staff asked if I was a JFH member; I said yes but maybe I was too soft? I was kinda ignored ... Wasn't very happy about this ... ?

Was intrigued by the window displays but also baffled by the Japanese hiragana characters. But family decided to take a chance. And it turned out to a very pleasant meal for all three of us. To the uninitiated, main course is soup-based and offers a variety of choices for side dishes. For about $15.90 you get a very satisfying and wholesome meal. (See photos) My choice of tom yam soup was a greeted by howls of incredulity but proved to be a winner - the best of the three sets. My lychee iced lemon tea was good but they put in 7 ice cubes. Really? Come on. I agree with other reviewers about poor service. Staffs grouchy and grumpy. Obviously unhappy despite having a job here in Singapore. The bosses should do a mystery shopper check. A change of crew could easily increase business by 30%. Oh by the way, we did get our Citibank $5 comeback voucher but only when we persisted. Hmm ...mondai na

Comfort food that is overpriced and offers few options on the menu. Meat given is very little too. Dessert had an extremely dry crust and an overall bitter note. Disappointing.

The atmosphere is nice. I ordered the lychee rose tart, lychee rose is usually a good combination, but it was subpar in this case: the cream is cloying, the rose tasted more like bandung, and the lychee flavour didn't go very well with it. Would have preferred not to eat it.

Broth of Tonkutsu Cha-Nabe is good and tasty. Get $2 off Mixed Fruit Tart when you purchase with the set. We felt that the fruits wasn’t really fresh and the standard for their tarts has dropped over the years. They have also reduced the size of each slice. Signature Parfait was disappointing and we did not finish it.

Desserts looked incredible from outside the store, but the lunch deal caught my eye and drew me in - $16.90 for a set (without extras added), plus an extra $1 for an Iced/Hot Matcha Latte or any other drink of your choice. Good value overall considering the portion size! I opted for the Salmon Miso which had a lot more broth than pictured, but was flavourful and generous. Welcome and service was cold hence 4stars rather than 5.
