Always like the bakes here - though this time round the Oriental (the white colored cake) was a disappointment. The chrysanthenum flavour was good but the luo Han guo jelly was still frozen. Service recovery was good - they gave us another cake to go, but it shouldn't be happening in the first place. If the cake isn't defrosted enough it shouldn't be served.

First time to Keong Saik Bakery. Waiting time for a table for a Saturday morning was around 20min or so? I guess that’s quite reasonable. The morning sun was shining at us while we sat at Table 1. Would advise management to add blinds to the 2 windows on the side, because the sun was blinding and making the dining experience a rather unpleasant one. Food was delicious, however I think that the Two Face was rather overrated. Can’t really taste the distinct taste of the matcha? Ordered the pistachio tart - which was great, the pistachio was intense and tart was not crumbly. The ABC danish was our favourite, and also the cheapest out of the lot. I would order the danish if I’m to visit again~ Service was alright. Great if the staff could just pass us the utensils instead of whacking it on the plate, cause you’re smashing my cake lol. ? Otherwise, staff were courteous.

There were a number of neg reviews on the service, my exp tdy is mixed. The bad: Went on a weekday afternoon where there were at least 3 empty tables but were told to wait 10-15min outside in the queue. Anyways we went in and asked why we can't sit at the empty tables. We were given a table immediately. The gd: A counter staff serving us was cheerful n friendly and bothered to explain the ingredients of quite a number of the breads n tarts, and showed patience when friends are making their choice. The food was adv avg. Orh nee tart was too hard to break. But the other pastry was good when warmed. Ambience wise placed was filled with those office executives types. Sounds were enclosed hence need to speak loudly to be heard.

Nice place for breakfast and coffèe. Surprisingly it was not very crowded for a Sunday morning. I think most people and kids had gone overseas for holiday since the borders are open now. Love the design that employ flowing and curvilinear forms. Interior was bright and airy but need to improve on the acoustic. I gave a thumbs up for the 3 pastry+cake that we had. Tea latte was just nice not too sweet. Husband was happy with his cappuccino, it tasted like an upgraded version of local coffee. The only set back is we had to wait to be seated as indicated by sign outside. We stood there for a good 5 mins and the staff did not notice us at all until my husband waved vigorously from the glass panel then they saw us. Saw previous reviews had the same comment as well, think the management got to improve on this. Staffs were friendly and quickly found a table for us. I will come back for breakfast in the future for sure.

Have always been a huge fan of Keong Saik Bakery, a bakery which constantly innovates to challenge the taste buds of its customers. Oriental (Liang Teh or Herbal Drink) and Hei (Black Sesame) are its Chip Bee Gardens Outlet Exclusive. Creative flavours with a local touch. Slightly sweeter compared to the other delights. Oriental had a slight bitterness aftertaste which reminds me of Mom's weekly Liang Teh. The Mugi tart had rice bits below the genmaicha cremeux in the tart base. Welcomed the surprise which added mouth feel and texture. Keep up the good work!

Been looking forward to taste the pastries and signatures but the visit wasn’t very satisfying. Have a good range and all look appealing. Danish pastry was crispy and had good layers but lack flavours and buttery richness. Burnt cheesecake’s texture was good but a tad too sweet and can’t taste the cheese. Latte was lacked of coffee taste.

The pastries tasted as good as they look and can tell the ingredients used are also of high quality. Drinks are not too bad as well. Love the location but the acoustics are really bad though

Didn't realize that they opened this outlet just 2 days ago! We chanced upon it finding for parking further down the road, and it certainly was a pleasant surprise! The space isn't huge, with very limited seating (indoors), so go early if you're planning on dining in. We were there at 8:30am, and it was already at 50% capacity. The pastries are baked fresh, and everything we had was good. The mentaiko pastry was really delicious and shouldn't be missed! The specialty coffee is also very reasonably priced.
