My wife and I work in the medical field. We take care of some community cats in our neighbourhood. We have been to Light of Life Vet for about 5 years. We like the clinic because the staff are very precise, concise and clear, just the way we like it. Dr Ng is very good, fact-based and unambiguous about the cats' conditions and prognosis. She is very well-read, not only about animals but also about human medicine. But we can see she only has eyes for the animals. We, and our cats, enjoy the clinic very much.

My new cats were not getting along with each other and started to pee outside the litter box. I went to many vets and did not solve the problem. My cousin told me to consult Light of Life vet because they are her vet. They figured out the problem for me after one consult. My cousin said have to make appointment in advance, otherwise they cannot see. True enough they were very packed. They call to check on us even after many weeks. Very nice to have a lot of reassuring from them. I am getting my cats spay there, my cousin said her cat wound so small. Very grateful to them for taking care of all our cats.

10 June 2021 I brought my pomapoo (breed of poodle and Pomeranian) for his yearly vaccination ? at Light of Life. And you can check the last photos taken at light of life. They claim it was positive but I’m not blind. The last photo with the test kits, there aren’t any blood on the tests. Which you can clearly see from my second photo there are blood tested with negative. It's very obvious they used my pet's urine to test for heartworm test! Omg! this is very general knowledge. They don't even know heartworm test is tested by blood test. And they have posted my photos of the cctv footage without my acknowledgement and been sharing around. Now what, they thought they are the polic and I am the criminal now?! Just a urine tested on a heartworm test kit and you insisted my poor boy is heartworm positive. And wrongly accuse to me that they spoke to me four times! which is totally untrue! and now they have hide all my comments in their facebook page! When i first reached their clinic i already said i wanted to take the heartworm prevention medication and was already advised long ago on my phone call which i had made the appointment one month ago that i need to do heartworm test before the prevention. But they have to take my poor boy in and out of the clinic and check with me whether i wanted to do the heartworm test? Shouldn't this be confirmed again before they bring Robi in? Can you all imagine the traumatised me and robi been going through? This is my first vaccination at Light of Life. As his previous vaccination was taken at another clinic vet. Light of Life was a walking distance away from my house so decided to go there. Nevertheless it was my worst nightmare over there. I have never done heartworm test before for Robi and the clinic suggested me to do it since I have decided to start the heartworm prevention for him. Owners are not allowed into the clinic only pets are allowed to. I am told to wait outside while they brought Robi in. I have to wait an hour just for the his yearly vaccination and heartworm test. With the result of two positive heartworm test! Told me to go 24 hour hospital and told me to book myself and to call them back so that they could transfer medical records over to the hospital, when I got home I called the hospital and the hospital told me only the clinic could make the appointment for me, I was like “WHAT THE HELL” Are you bringing me on a merry go round trip? Never mind despite of having the heartworm positive test, they still prescribe me with the heartworm prevention medication and told me to apply on Robi when I get home. ? All the while, the vet didn’t came out and talked to the owners. Only the nurses did. And we do pay for consultation fee. But where is the vet! The next day we brought Robi to another well known vet clinic and was told Robi is negative! And within less than 40 mins we left the clinic with a lighten heart. Below is the picture of the negative result. I will never ever step into LIGHT OF LIFE VET again. Please share this and create awareness. And please do share with me your experiences at Light of Life Veterinary. A note to add: Robi doesn’t show any symptoms on heartworm disease GO AT YOUR OWN RISK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I deserve the rights and have the evident! THE VET HAS MADE A SERIOUS MISTAKE!!! AND SERIOULSY WRONGLY DIGNAOSED MY HEALTHY DOG! GO AT YOUR OWN RISK PEOPLE. HEAVEN GOT HIS EYES TO SEE.

I visited LOL vet clinic on 8th Nov with my pet frog. My pet frog just passed away so I will try to keep emotions from running high and be as matter of fact as I can with my review, which will be in point form. --Extremely rude reception from main vet which I assume to be "Dr Denise". I was snapped at by her to "Step back!" in spite of not being particularly near her. This was my first visit and it was never mentioned that safe distancing was going to be applied so harshly. For the record we were both wearing surgical masks. Don't expect any "please" and "thank you" from her. --Pet owners were not allowed into the clinic. It'd be perfectly reasonable along with the safe distancing if they didn't apply these rules arbitrarily. The same vet that told me to step back later got into close contact with her other clients(dog owners). I was also later allowed into the clinic, but only to make payment. --None of the abovementioned safe distancing measures were stated anywhere on their website or mentioned during the call I had with them to make the appointment. It also took me three calls and two messages left on an answering machine to get an appointment. --I was also told to sign an indemnity form which required that I include my NRIC number and surname(which I excluded but was later told to add). I wonder why. Other vet clinics never asked for such things. --Lack of expertise with treating frogs. Don't be fooled by their website mentioning amphibians as part of their repertoire. I personally witnessed through the window the vet directly using tap water on my frog instead of dechlorinated water. She also dropped my sick frog on the floor when handling her. -she also never once apologised for the mishandling, instead phrasing it as "accidentally let her jump" -she left the carrier open for hours and unattended in spite of the fact that bullfrogs are able to jump up to two metres, sick or not. -they didn't see fit to rinse off my frog after the mishap, instead telling me to do so when I reached home. I later found dog hairs stuck to her body. -the diagnosis was vague and inconclusive but to be fair two other clinics couldn't figure it out either. --Absurdly long waiting time. It took three hours from my 5.15pm appointment timing to after 8pm before I was able to bring my poor frog home. This was for consultation, demonstration of force feeding of medication, and preparation of medication for said feeding. IMO a long appointment with no surgery or complicated treatment should probably be about 2 hours max. --She was administering to other pets in spite of the fact that I had an earlier appointment time and a straightforward treatment(there was no complicated process involved. The other pets were dogs, non-emergency cases, only vaccinations afaik) As I do not have the expertise I will not comment on the efficacy of the treatment. The above are my observations from outside the clinic through the window, so there is that-- you can't go in to be with your pet but at least there is some transparency. All in all it was a thoroughly unpleasant experience for both myself and I daresay my pet, who is now deceased. As it is apparent that this establishment tends to respond rather fiercely to criticism, I will leave my future responses/rebuttals under this line. Have a good day. ---------------------------------

Bottom line I don't think this is a good place to visit for your pet. I feel that they over diagnose. When we go for second opinions things wasn't that bad. Plus it is overpriced. After a few visit with our pets we decided to try other clinic and find that the pricing is a lot more reasonable and friendlier at other places.

Really rude vet. Wasted our time to visit this clinic. We visited to get our pet bird treated and the vet turned us away at the door and said they did not treat birds. I told her i saw her clinic listed as an avaition vet. She said it is not her list and kept insisting that we called earlier and she already told us which was rubbish. But their website advertises for treating birds. How can she say the clinic doesn't treat birds? I dont advise anyone to come here just from the sheer attitude.

Have been going to this vet for quite awhile now for my cat’s treatment. First it was due to the infection of her uterus, which was quickly diagnosed and treated. Subsequently also went back to to sterilise my cat. Experienced staff and vet with clear explanation and instructions.

long-delayed review . Long story short, In 2011 while all the vets suggest to put a stray cat with a jaw dislodged i suppose to sleep. Dr Denise Ng did not give up and kept him for 2 weeks under observation. She slowly nursed him to health and carried out the operation. C17 is now fat & healthy(i supposed). I am still bringing my pets to her as i believe she will always recommend the best for them.:) ..keep up the good work Dr Denise & Team...:)
