Huge shout out to Dr Angeline and vet tech Shawn. All the vet techs there are amazing. Professional and compassionate, I couldn’t have ask for a better vet and nurse during those difficult times. My cat was very sick and ultimately didn’t make it. I was stressed, upset and worried sick but their professionalism and compassion made those difficult time easier to bear. Thank you IVC Bedok, for trying your best and for genuinely caring.

I am not really sure why there are some negative reviews. Yes, definitely there are room for improvement on the customer service side. Yes the sitting area is abit narrow, but if you take a look at the place layout, they are trying to have more space for the pets than the human. The staff and doctors are trying their best to accommodate to the customer needs, I would highly suggest to make an appointment before going there, it can get crowded at time, there are times when I saw a walk in customer without making any appointment make unreasonable demand. Anyway, good job team ^^

Many thanks and appreciation to Dr Vivian Shim for her care, patience and sound advice on the care and treatment for my hamster. She is very gentle, friendly and knowledgeable and was able to help me decide on the treatment I want for my pet. An excellent service I received from both the doctor and the staff who were also helpful, caring and friendly. Will definitely recommend to my friends who needs to bring their pets to the vet in the near future.

Gave IVC Bedok a try years ago for dental scaling as I was told Dr Angeline Wong specialises in low-stress handling. I made it known that my dog gets nervous at vet clinics, and her anxiety was worsened as it was storming outside. Within the first few minutes of the consultation, Dr Wong reached for my dog's snout to examine her teeth, causing her to bark loudly and back away in shock. I was sharply told that she was lunging to bite and I had to start muzzle-conditioning. Her past and current vets know to read my dog's body language and vet techs perform jabs and blood-drawing with no issue. When needed, they ask for permission to muzzle her. At her current clinic in Ghim Moh, her vet teases her for being a "kancheong spider", keeps handling stress-free, and expresses concern when she is more anxious than usual. Consultation aside, I wasn't pleased with the scaling on one side of my dog's molars, which remained yellow and gunky. I'd requested for nail trimming to be done during the surgery, and 2-3 nails had not only been over-cut but were splintered and coated in styptic powder. Upon realising I'd noticed them, the vet tech remarked that my dog has "interesting" nails that are difficult to cut. Purchased years of Heartgard from them because their receptionist guilt-tripped me on the importance of feeding it. I've since switched to vets that work better with my dog (truly low-stress) and who share a more balanced view of feeding preventives.

When I have made booking for a community cat for a general medication on Saturday, the customer care did not tell me that the charges are 50% higher. I might have bought the cat on weekdays. This is not emergency. Moreover, tablet of 8 pcs from another veterinary clinic is 50% lesser than Island Vet. I m not sure, IVC charges even for tablets 50% more on Saturdays.

There ain't many vets in SG that can treat rabbits. I search the list of veterinary clinics from Bunny Wonderland and I called one of the listed clinic in Bedok but was told they do not see rabbits and referred me to Island Vet. My 8 year old bunny head tilt on 26 Jan and I had a prompt response after booking appointment on their website to bring her over in the afternoon. This is the 1st time I visited a vet for my bunny over the 8 years. Dr. Tanja Kahrs was very gentle with my distressed bunny and prescribed her anti-inflammatory and neurobion medication to syringe feed her over the days. The nurses were really kind to the furry patients as I observed while waiting. And I was really worried about the fees as I was told vets are very expensive on top of what could happen to my bunny. Luckily the fees was reasonable and even better my bunny recovered by CNY 1st Feb. I was very thankful the medication worked. The review meeting with Dr. Tanja was great and she was impressed with the little fighter's recovery and amazingly, when Dr. Tanja lifted my bunny out of the carrier this time my fur baby did not struggle and sat quietly on her lap to be examined. I supposed she knows Dr. Tanja do care and only wanted to help. I want to say a big thank you to Dr. Tanja and yes, let's hope little Jayden will be healthy for a long long time. Initially i don't know why out of all the places in Sg i choose to bring my newly adopted kittens to this clinic for sterilization since i am staying in the north. When i brought my kitties there, then i realized that it's their hospitality and the way they treated my pets that made me travel all the way to Bedok. Even via phone call, they started addressing the names of little Loki & Lola already. All the staffs knew their names which is very endearing even to pet parents as most clinic don't take the initiative to. Service was good and my darlings recover in no time after surgery!! Obviously visiting any vet clinic ain't cheap but it was worth the money & time to get your pets treated there.

We have been with them for 7 years. Our current 3 cats and our late cat and late dog and also our many rescue cats have all received much competent and tender care from the vets and entire team here. With the level of patience and assurance we receive here, we wouldn’t go anywhere else! In fact I often wished Dr Wong could be My doctor haha! I guess it must be very personal why some reviews tell of such a bad experience and why some others find it so good with island vet.
