β β β β β My 14 year old had a eye ulcer which did not get better after visiting 3x at our regular vet. Was referred to Mt Pleasant to see the eye specialist instead. What I like about this place is with an appointment and they really stick to the time slot and see us timely. My dog eye ucler was cleared after 3 weeks of treatment with weekly review.
Thank you to Dr Leong Jann Yee, a very patient vet who will explain when in doubt and she does not rush through the consultation.
Thumbs up and we are grateful for the speedy recovery after seeing you.

β β β β β Highly recommended.
My dog had loss of appetite and became restless. On the 2nd day I brought her to a vet in Ghim Moh but was turned down and ask to come back the next day pm because they were busy. I felt uneasy to wait till the next day and called Mt pleasant clementi. The nurse who pick up the phone asked about the dog condition and gave me the first appt that very evening. Grateful and thankful to have met Dr. Kent Soon. After his examination and investigation, my dog have to go into emergency surgery (life threatening). Honestly I am skeptical due to all the negative reviews i had read in this thread. But Dr. Kent Soon was very focus to address all my concerns and worries. We went ahead.
He called to update me close to midnight after the surgery ended. The next morning he also called me to update me on the dog progress.
Before I pick up my dog back home, Dr. Soon explained and shown me details what he had done. Post op care and even other preventive measures were all explained clearly.
My experience, although he may look young, he is full of compassionate, passion and of course not doubting his professionalism for his patients. Not forgetting the lady who pick up the call and his team who stayed up that night trying their best. Thank you very much.
Btw, while i was typing this. My dog did her first bark after the surgery. :)

β β β β β My dog had been seen several times at this clinic in the past 14 years and I had always liked the staff for their friendliness and gentle manner with animals. Unfortunately, in the past month, she had 2 visits for an ear issue that was not resolved despite medication. I do not expect miracles cures and understand that staff expertise and experience vary. However, I did not feel too confident with the first 2 visits and it seemed reasonable to request for a second opinion at this point. As she was seen by a vet who was new to me, during these 2 visits, I decided to ask for a second opinion from Dr Heng who had seen my dog many times before. I was told that the earliest appointment was a few weeks later and I accepted that. I was also told that she mainly sees eye cases these days. I did ask if she would not see anything else, and was told this was not the case but that she mainly attended to eye cases (I imagined she had become senior enough to have an area of specialty). With that, I proceeded to wait for the appointment while monitoring my dog's condition. Unfortunately, I was treated with much passive aggression at the appointment and was advised by Dr Heng that she did not know much outside of the eyes and it was suggested that I made another appointment with another vet within the clinic. This was an extremely disappointing and unpleasant experience. I would rather the request to see Dr Heng be flat out refused right at the beginning vs being subjected to passive aggression despite having been polite with an innocent request and making arrangements to attend the appointment. Overall, the experience undermines my confidence in the clinic.

β β β β β I am appalled at the lack of empathy and unprofessionlism of the attending vet.
I brought a stray kitten with an injured eye for a consultation with Dr Heng. However, her unprofessionalism and attitude is a huge turn off. When the kitten was afraid and tried to find a hiding space in the room, her priorities were not to get injured by the cat, protect her expensive eye equipment from damage and contain the kitten in the room. She was so afraid of getting injured that she did not handle the kitten. Only the vet tech and I handled the kitten. And rest assured that the kitten never attacked humans before. It is all in her head and she is paranoid. It is obvious that she is inexperienced with handling strays. If one lack experience, I can still understand. What I do not understand is her lack of empathy. She never empathised with the kitten at all and choose to put her needs above the kitten. How can someone so cold hearted be a vet?
In addition, she was impatient and just wanted to get us out of the room. We were in and out of the consultation room in less than 10 minutes. Please note that she did not even check or assess the kitten condition. Because time is money to a senior vet like her, she had the cheek to charge consultation fee.
I paid it without hesitation as I do not wish to stoop so low with such a vet. Once again, Mount Pleasant has reiterated the fact that they are a vet clinic who value money more than animal welfare. Thank you for that.

β β β β β Extremely terrible "ladies " who pick up the phone. As Dr Yeeling Hing is a wonderful vet, recommended by the best ophthalmologist for cats from HongvKong, she is very busy and doesn't have a appointment slot before a month. With the new covid regulations, Mount Pleasant expects owners to take pictures of our suffering pets. My helper sent pictures of my cat who had an eye infected and couldn't open it. After checking the pictures the "nurses" said that there was nothing to be done and there was no need to visit the vet but owners should monitor the cat?? The next day I called Mount Pleasant vand I received the same reply :we need the pictures of his eye?? What is the point of taking the picture of a closed eye? What is the point of hurting a cat and forcing him to open his eye just to take a picture? I asked the lady who picked up the phone? If I didn't think he was in need, I wouldn't request an appointment. Then I asked for a walk in and got a slot with the junior vet! This is really annoying to experience such a rude treatment from a place where I know good vets exist. It is also extremely disturbing to see that the vets neither wash their hands nor use gloves prior to checking on my pet!

β β β β β I have been to this clinic multiple times due to my dog having eye issues and the senior vet, Dr Heng, is supposedly the "best" eye vet around. However, the many years of visit really left me more and more disappointed, especially the most recent time we visited Dr Heng.
I am absolutely disgusted at her lack of patience and compassion for my dog, especially since her issue is on eyes where it is a delicate area and my dog moves around a lot during the removal of eyelashes because it IS a painful procedure, yet Dr Heng can throw a tantrum, lose her patience & cool and said my dog is being "difficult". As such, she is unable to perform her task. She straight-away tried to suggest surgery and said there is no other way to perform the task unless GA is done on my dog. Is this what a senior vet should be doing or even suggesting? Suggesting for surgery because it is the easy and fast money-making way out AND because she does not have simple patience at all?
Through the whole conversation, there was no compassion noted. Just frustrated and irritated because we are a walk-in patient & there are a lot more other patients waiting for her.
Enlighten me. Walk in patients = not patients? Mind you, we even pay more as walk-ins as compared to others who have prior appointments. The attitude was seriously uncalled for.
I highly recommend dogs with eye issues not to come here to visit Dr Heng, because you might be left frustrated and helpless as she is not a vet with compassion. If need be, please find other vets (who are notably less senior but does a fantastic job) such as Dr Leung from Clementi or Dr Low from Farrer.
