★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a little skeptical to dine hear after reading all the reviews. Turned out we had a good experience dining here: Food was great as always and the staff were helpful and would keep offering to top up our soups without us asking.
Dry bak kut teh is very well-done and the soup is tasty and peppery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terribly short-staffed. Only 2 waitstaff on the floor who will pretend not to see you raise your hand as much as they can.
One of whom was an uncle with terrible attitude when I asked for a refill. "Can you wait?" in an impatient tone with an attitude. Then proceeded inside the kitchen without relaying information to the other staff. Kept my hand raised but the other staff just seemed not to be able to see even when she faced my direction.
Had to serve myself like getting cutlery and condiments because the staff don't seem to be bothered. Also after attempted to get their attention and getting ignored, I had to bring my bowl to the counter for a refill. Pay 10% service charge for what. ???
Will definitely not be back here. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the WORST Bak kut teh restaurant that i have ever been to. Never felt welcome at all. Service is really bad. NOT CHILD FRIENDLY! Bowls and kids bowl utensil all not given, have to ask for it but when ask for it, they not happy. The kids bowl is soooo lightweight, i think the bowl can fly when i blow, meaning if to pour soup, my kid accidentally push it, it will topple and burn them. Look at the food! The egg colour is obviously not fresh. Chicken feet is so dry and has a burn smell. Wanted to let the waiter know but seeing their attitude, who dare? The main signature meat is extremely hard. How to eat? Guilty to even let my kids eat this kind of food. Please go to other Bak Kut teh brand or other restaurant in kallang mall. This restaurant is not worth a penny.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I saw so many 1 star review at this location, I was in disbelief until I tried it out for myself. Arrived on Saturday, 19 Feb to a totally empty restaurant. I could hear one employee speaking in a dialect foreign to me. Suffice to say, he was from China. Turns out he was the chef sitting in the dining area talking on his phone. His colleague then had to inform him of an order to prepare. After a while he brings his handphone to the kitchen still talking. The main wait staff seems to be having an out of body experience. He took a while to respond every time you say something to him. I won’t hold that against him but the service overall is just horrendous. I’ve eaten at the Pasir Ris location and it was actually nice so not quite sure what is happening here at the Wave Mall outlet. Enter at your own risk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came during lunch time. I was promptly seated. There were 3 staffs, aged but proactive. Order is made through QR code and e-menu. Food was good. You have to get condiments, spoon and chopsticks by yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was at this outlet for a dinner gathering with 4 of my friends on 31 May this year. Chose this outlet as we felt that it will be less crowded, we can chat and eat at our comfort. It also came as a pleasant surprise to us that the outlet had a promotion. For orders above $100 (less beverages and gst), we got to enjoy free flow of beer!
Unlike what I read from the review of poor service at this outlet, the service staff were friendly, patient and helpful then especially when my friend was clarifying the details of the promotion. (maybe they have changed out the staff, thus the service is standards did improve.)
