★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to eat and it was not crowded. Ask the dishes were good and flavorful except for the matcha mochi, it wasn't as chewy as we expected. It tasted like we were eating rubber and tasteless.

The service and food taste sub standard. Cabbage is raw... No next time. Even food court standard service better food. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food nice, but service was terrible, especially all the guy staff theres 2 of them whos doing the floor service, when one of the food came, they did not even tell us in advance that the plate is hot., they just leave it our table., eventually, i burnt my index finger then we ask for ice, and told them i burnt my finger, they just gave us a bowl of ice. N Left, by then im in no mood, when we ask of the guy for refill of soup, , he did not say anything just a hand gesture, (like how u hold out ur palm facing towards us) we waited quite awhile nothing came, end up i ask the girl, she help us refill without a fuss(thanks)., and my aunt ask for ginger nvr came (the guy) , i have to ask them for the ginger then it came.. its funny to me it seems they do not have any customer service , not attentive, trying to ignore when we called for them, and there was no service recovery. Will not go there to eat again n all the watami dining,

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many empty tables during lunch but a long queue waiting. Was wondering why we could not be seated and getting very frustrated. Realised restaurant is short of staff. Service is ok. They are trying their best.
Food is so so. Price differences in different branches? Much cheaper at Downtown East.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Celebrated my baby sis’s birthday at Watami J8 today.
Food was great and price was reasonable.
I bought a small cake and asked one of the staff to keep it refrigerated while we were having our meal.
I asked for the cake after our meal while I was taking out the candle and lighter from my bag when, to my pleasant surprise, the staff served the cake on a beautiful plate and she even lit a candle! What a great service and such lovely gesture! I was so impressed! Thank you lady! I forgot to ask for her name.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food at reasonable prices. The service is good, courteous and prompt. The ambiance is conducive for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the Real Man Hot Pot which was a generous helping of meat and vegetables bubbling in a delicious broth. The Sashimi Salad was tasty and fresh, value for money too. Of course we had our usual Extreme Tendon which is a huge bowl full of assorted tempura.
