Origin Bar - 22 Orange Grove Rd

Beautiful place and fantastic atmosphere! The staff there were very helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable. They have a very nice range of alcohol and the staff was very helpful in guiding us with the different bottles. Loved the Mac and cheese, it was so simple yet so good. Really hits the comfort spot. Will definitely be back!

Table has no tissues/napkins, no coasters for (mediocre) cocktails - that also took ages to arrive. Didn’t receive a food menu when sitting down, and staff haven’t noticed our water glasses need to be refilled half the evening. Gets 1 star for friendly waitress and 1 more for delicious snacks. But too many, significantly, better bars - at the same high price point - in Singapore to bother returning here. Can’t recommend.

No wonder my friend loves this one so much. The drinks are so well balanced and the nuts are like a wow ?. Good chill music and relaxing ambiance. Definitely on my fave list now to come back!

Came here for boozy brunch with a group 4 other wine lovers friends. $150 for free flow wine and brunch. Both the wine and the food was excellent. The only pity is that it is only for 2.5hrs which is enough to be honest. I was almost tipsy by the end. From a WSET level 2 merit holder, this is definitely worth it! Kudos to Shangri-la for having this!

Everything about Origin Bar was great - service, drinks and FREE sliders and not your typical mixed nuts for nibbles! Cocktails tasted so good and were aesthetically pleasing. Absolutely loved the experience. Also, shout out to all the amazing staff.

The food here was really amazing! We came here the evening after getting engaged. We mentioned we would share our dishes and without even hesitating they offered to split it for us in the kitchen and made each plate look so pretty (so the photos show half portions). Then for dessert they brought out such a delicious chocolate cake as a surprise for our engagement! It was so special and delicious! Highly recommend ?

We were recommended by front desk staff to eat at Origin Grill but we were early, had drinks in the lobby, then when we came they said we could sit in the bar because they actually did require reservations and the main dining was full be it would have mostly the same food. So we said fine no worries. While the drinks were a bit over the top, they were creative, fun and HUGE wine and spirits menu. The food however was hit or miss for our visit. Second dish took a very long time to get out, even with a jet lagged warped sense of time. The Tiger Prawns sounded great on the menu, and you get 4 big ones, but they didn’t taste like anything at all. Where is the coconut lime dressing? Almost over cooked. Cauliflower was boring. Nothing could save these poor guys. And the drawback was a large portion size of blah food was just a lot of blah food instead of a small dish of blah food. Staff was super nice and probably had nothing to do with the long wait times, but overall underwhelming meal. Was expecting and had heard much more for this place. Hopefully this was just a holiday weekend issue, but there were under 10 patrons in the bar area (we were told no room in main seating) so not sure where the issue would have been….
