β β β β β All time favourite Japanese restaurant, food are good and consistent! Been here for the many years, spicy sauce ebi maki is a must have that you can't find elsewhere.

β β β β β Mediocre and overpriced food. Service was quite lacking with not even a smile to greet incoming guests ? The aburi prawns were 3 for $15 and the quality is not even good. Soft shell crab maki came after a long wait and the soft shell crabs were quite cold - which was strange. Beef cubes were kinda overcooked. Pork belly skewer was also dry. Will not return.

β β β β β Decent Japanese food with long waiting time.
Spent $220 for:
1. Assorted Skewers
2. Sushi set
3. Bento
4. Salmon mentai roll
5. Hot plate beef
Best dish is probably the pork belly skewer ($8), tender and charred to perfection. Most of the dishes were good, and service crew is friendly. However, we waited close to an hour for our food.

β β β β β enjoyed every dish here! sashimi was fresh (loved the thick salmon) and the grilled fish was sooo soft and melted in our mouths. Mentaiko cheese tofu is worth a try, savoury and rich in torched mentaiko flavour. fish head was super soft and creamy! service staff was attentive and short waits, good place to go for a slightly higher tier japanese dinner

Been longing for a Japanese treat for a while! Meeting my Buddy Desmond, we finally made it happen!
This restaurant has been around for a while, and it looks, well best to say, used! We were given a seat inside, in dark corner, 5 tables or so, of course following present restrictions!
Only 3 were taken, the Counter on the other side of the restaurant looked empty with only a handful of guests!
Menus were old and tattered, classic plastic menu inside with photos , good for the newbie, we felt it more of a middle class family restaurant, but price points would make you think otherwise!
250$ for lunch for two, not too high, but certainly a handful for lunch!
Service was barely acceptable, nice enough, but poor language skills make it difficult to communicate! Very very local!
The food:
Sashimi was decent enough, thick slices of fish, except scallops quite thin! Some Japanese Chefs like their sashimi thicker, I was ok with that!
Wasabi, the paste type! Disappointed!
Hamachi Salad, nice, good portion, decent dressing, was good!
My buddy had a crabmeat porridge, little crab, but decent flavour, served in a hot pot stone!
Finally a couple of Yakitori Skewers! The Salmon desperately over cooked! The green peppers, undercooked and the meatballs, acceptable!
So overall average, not bad, but neither exciting! Some reviews were pretty much in line with my own experience!
Good Luck!

β β β β β Had dinner here with total spend SGD220. Ordered salad, ei hire, ebi tempura, rakuichi maki, gindara teriyaki, some skewers and house pour sake. Overall the food taste good. Just the ei hire portion is a bit too small.
Atmosphere is fine and service is also acceptable.

β β β β β Sashimi are quite fresh.
Grilled food are tasty but turned cold quickly due to strong aircon directly above us.
Overall food are acceptable for the price.
