β β β β β Small restaurant that has limited seating capacity. The food quality is good and the price is reasonable. Kai Signature Kaisendon has 3 sizes, I selected the regular size, it will likely be okay for asians but if you have a larger appetite, suggest you go for the large portion unless you are sharing something, you will probably leave unsatisfied. Worth mentioned is the wasabi (excellent quality) and the soup is well created, which is seldom provided in similar type of restaurant.

β β β β β The portion is generous but thereβs a lil too many cucumber underneath. Wasabi tasted bitter instead of hot. We ordered salmon sashimi but i think what we get is not raw salmon.

β β β β β The calling from the Land Of Sun begins its inception during lunch
Tsukemen, ramen, sushi, β¦
Spoilt for choices, I decided to look see look see at Wheelock Place and Shaw House
From the escalator I saw the little hut shop covered with colourful menu. Small but cosy.
The restaurant probably can sit around 10-ish people.I decide I wanted to have Kaisendon
Ordered Mentaiyaki Tamago Kaisendon, 18.9 dollars
Served with complimentary soup and salad.
Service was fast and efficient. Waiting time was around 10 mins
The food quality ok and was Oishi!

β β β β β The Kei Signature is very satisfying and not too filling. We asked for the chicken drumlets as a side - very soft and tasty. The meal also comes with soup and salad. The place is small, cosy and is usually packed during lunch. But we didnβt have to wait that long??

β β β β β Came on a Sunday for lunch. Ordered a regular and large kei signature kaisendon. Regular size was a bit on the smaller side (can compare with soup and salad as reference) while large was a good amount. We ordered more side dishes - ikura (hands down really fresh and bursts with flavour just popping in your mouth), salmon sashimi (really fresh and thick) edamame (standard and typical) and chanwanmushi (really good). On the pricey side (get ready to spend the $$$) but would come again

β β β β β Came for a quick bite. Given the price point wasnβt expecting ambience or anything more like a hole in the wall / eating under the rail track experience similar to Japan cities. Noted the hit and miss review by others - either a 1-star or 4/5-star. For me itβs a hit. Maybe I was lucky, the seafood is decently fresh (as fresh as air flown seafood can ever by in Singapore, letβs face it). One thing to note is the place doesnβt take credit card payment, and there price shown is before a 10% service charge and GST.

β β β β β Food is tasty and the amount is generous vs. the price paid. We enjoyed the meals here.
Not a spacious restaurant to talk aloud. But the coziness reminds us the time in Japan.

β β β β β Passed by and decided to have a quick lunch here. The space is quite tight and the staff have to squeeze past each other inside the kitchen lane.
Tried their signature sushi Kei Kaisen and a Mentaiyaki kaizen. Food is presentable and up to expectation. Staff are helpful too. If not for the right space, would have added another star. Overall satisfied??.
