Best Japanese restaurant in Singapore

F	Francis Del Rosario on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tucked unassumingly in a small shopping centre (Kinex) this Japanese place probably deserves to be in a more exposed location. Sushi and sashimi were fresh and artistically plated. The Australian wagyu was fine, though somewhat underwhelming in size, biting into it had the quality of eating another high grade fish. For dessert, the citrus sherbet was perfectly refreshing to clean the palate. Staff was very attentive. Update after another visit: stuck mostly to sushi and sashimi, and would add another star just to appreciate the freshness and quality of the fish. Really enjoyed the chu toro. Also had an order of gyoza which was also very good.

Service staff were generally friendly and mostly Mandarin speaking. Received a $10 sake voucher with a validity of 3-4 months for the next visit.

L	Loki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw two Japanese-speaking businessmen enter the restaurant, and I immediately knew that it would be good. Food is slightly pricey for the portion size but delicious. Tonkatsu was very well made and the salad was yummy. The fish were fresh but the sashimi portions were quite small. The restaurant served us with complimentary edamame which was a nice touch. The temaki were really delicious and well worth the $5. I think this restaurant really excels with their drinks - the Sapporo beer were served ice cold and sibei shiok. We were also given complimentary vodka cocktails as a 5.20 promotion since we hit the minimum spending of $80. The decor was tastefully done up and ambiance was great. Would be nice if they had some entertainment, but nonetheless a nice place to catch up with friends over dinner and drinks.
T	Tyler Ryu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went during dinner time. Tried about 11 dishes (Udon, Uni Tart, Sashimi, Skewers, etc). Not sure why this place doesn’t have higher stars. Food was great, service was excellent, I’ll be coming back for sure! Expect 30-50 per person for a nice meal, a bit more for the premium dishes. Even the ice cream was good, usually its hard to find ice cream that isn’t half sugar, but they nailed it!

The food display already looks appetizing. Ordered the promo set $18++ value for money, too bad today is the last day of promo?

Would definitely reccomend the soft shell crab sushi, it was really tasty and we enjoyed the way the flavors blended together. We ended the day with 2 cocktails, would have preferred a bit more strength. Overall very happy with the quality of the meal. Do note that you will hv to pay for the tea though! Will be back :)

The variety of Japanese-fusion cuisine is massive and the food quality is great too! Try their sashimi platter and fresh oysters please - definitely exceeding all expectations ? I would also praise the service, staff's amiable attitude and excellent ambience! Been there at least 3x and I must say every experience has been consistent and enjoyable. Will be back again! ??
