★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely disappointing and rather frustrating dining experience. Arrived at 640 and placed order. Some of the food came out and tasted good. Then it went downhill from here. Orders mixed up, my skewers never came for 1.5 hours, asked a few times and was told restaurant is very busy, so might take some time. BUT… other tables all got their skewers, turns out our order went to another table… Servers are confused about orders between tables. When the skewers finally came out, the preparation felt rushed and food lacked the finess of the initial food served.
Even after all the reminders to the servers, 1 skewer was still missed out… we were all just so tired with the experience to pursue or wait further
Honestly, no matter how food taste may have been, the whole experience of 2 hours with half the time spent waiting is just unacceptable.

Food Taste: 7/10 (the abalone was not bad. So was the mega oyster. The Hamachi could have been fresher)

Environment: 7/10
Service: 7/10
Value: 4/10 (marketing on this place is overhyped. The sashimi slices for the hamachi and their signature don were very thin. Expect portions to be smaller than visually seen in FB or reviews etc)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Passed by this cosy Japanese restaurant at Novena. They were having a lunch set meal promotion. I ordered a chirashi don and it came with miso soup n Kani chawanmushi. Total bill was less than $20. Decent food and portion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheapest draft beer in novena! Yakitori sticks were well cooked and good value for money. Chirashi don was alright, they could do away with the abalone give thicker cut sashimi slices, that would be perfect. Nonetheless they had some good cuts of chu toro or otoro so I appreciated that. All nice and fresh, Will come back :)
