β β β β β I wish to compliment the doctor and appt nurse at bedok polyclinic. Doc was very empathetic n took time tonlisten despite the long queues. Appt nurse called me within half n hour after i made request to change referral and i got the referral letter very soon after too. Thanks for making the visit so comfortable n putting in so much effort to make things so quick for patients.

β β β β β No queueing system for swab test. You don't see queue number that they are serving, and you see people arrive late go in first. The area is long and narrow. When you hear your name and response, the nurse is gone. Then, they'll just ask you to wait again. I spent more than 3 hours just to wait for my medicine.

β β β β β Although the service has improved tremendously but more can be done.
For doctorβs consultation, as long as you are not late for your appointment, you can be in and out within 5 mins.
Theyβve also rolled out a system that gives you an estimated timing if you are a walk in.
But for appointments for lab tests, itβs a nightmare. The appointment system is a farce... there should be a longer interval allowed between the slots so that it can be more accurate.

β β β β β Bad queuing system for a polyclinic with low COVID-19 considerations in place at registration machines.
Visited the Bedok polyclinic as I wasnβt able to make an appointment with the Tampines polyclinic which is where I usually visit if I am ill. The queuing system is horrendous and with only 4 machines for registrations placed all close together, it was a nightmare. Staff was located at 2 machines to assist patients and I was told to wait for a staff. An impatient elderly brushed past me and told me I could use the 2 machines in between the staff, with no thought to safe distancing at all. Bad management at this area, and the polyclinic actually deployed at least 4-6 staff in front for temperature checks and what not. Registration area should have more staff too.
Thereafter I had to navigate my way through big throngs of patients to the waiting area which had big comfortable seats. Waiting area was ok, but the queue notification was pretty difficult to see if you are an old folk, coz it was by room number. So you will need to check your ticket for the room number and see if your ticket number is being called/blinking.
Staff at the cashier counter was polite though.

β β β β β I got to see the doctor within a few minutes from my appointment time. Waiting time for medicine is a bit long but acceptable. Overall, the time spend in the clinic is shorter than many private clinics. The staffs were friendly too.

β β β β β Went to bedok polyclinic and had a great experience . Online registration so no rush to get there . Saw the evaluation nurse within 10 mins. Saw the doctor within half an hour. The doctor, Max, was a locum but one of the best doctors i have seen. Patient understanding and kind . Got my appointments settled , took my blood test all within 1 1/2 hours. Best of all, all the doctors and nurses had great smiles that made my day.
Thanks guys

β β β β β With the number of negative reviews. I think I need to share my positive experience.
Made an appointment online for 11.05am Saturday. Arrived at 10.40am and registered. My queue number was called at 11.10am, consultation ended about 11.25am. Doctor was great, explained what I needed to know with clarity.
Picked up my drugs at 11.43am (wasnβt crazy 1 hour wait). Paid at self payment kiosk that took 1 minute, counter payment queue was long.
Tips- thereβs a lot of counters to go/steps to take.
1. Make appointment online
2. Register your presence upon reaching
3. Wait for doc
4. If specialist appointment is needed, ask the doc where to go next
5. Pass your prescription to the pharmacy before waiting for them to pack it.
6. Make payment
Download the health buddy app if you have a smart phone, it tells you how many people before you in the queue and where to go next.
But maybe I was lucky that my experience was great.
