Very very very rude stall assistants........?? I have simply use one plastic saucer to take away some chilli as I can't find the small mini plastic bag for chilli/sauce. The stall assistant uncle came from behind said that it is for dine in customer, & they are not even earning money... Then, how about close shop for good since not earning money! Honestly, there are better choices elsewhere.

Best fishball kway teow tng (soup noodles) that I have ever had. I have been searching for this long lost childhood taste and have finally found it at this store. The fishballs are salty and smell a bit but for $4 (soup) and $3.50 (dry), one cannot argue about the quality with regards to the price. Each bowl of noodles come with a fantastic assortment of homemade fishballs and fishcakes. The soup is fragrant and savoury with a generous amount of fried shallots and spring onions. The dry-style fishball noodles is simply moreish. The lady boss serves it up in a generous amount of sauce and fried shallots. The only off-putting thing is that the side dish of soup was quite cold. If you love the unique texture of sticky but not soggy noodles, which is hard to come by, this store is a must-visit.

After purchasing 3 bowls of dry meepok, we felt that the taste is not spicy enough and asked for more chili and the stall old lady make hell a lot of noise and is very rude. Now even how good the noodle’s taste is, this will be last last time to patronize them. Worst still, it doesn’t even taste good. Standard dropped so tremendously over these time. This kind of bad attitude hawker stall should boycott them and teach them a lesson. Don’t forget we pay for the noodles and is not free.

Ordered small bowl with a little chilli. Came with 2 fishcake balls and 4 fishballs. Overly generous with the chilli oil although it is not spicy. Noodles saved the day with the al dente texture. Soup bland however.

Superb noodle texture & chilli paste + lotsa fried onions! I felt the mee kia & kuay teow had the best al dente texture. The mee pok & yellow noodles were a tad bit softer. Fishballs and meatballs were super bouncy & juicy. Soup is clear & with a light salty & slightly sweet taste to it. Service-wise, it's an old-school shop helmed by impatient & grumpy seniors in their 60-70s so don't expect much lol. Just read the other reviews below about their rudeness? But that's the vibe of old school hawker stalls isn't it? Rude & impatient hawkers? Part of the UNESCO heritage?

Finally have a chance to try this noodles stall. Went around 10pm and most of the dumplings and sides sold out.. ordered Kway Teow Mee (white flat & yellow noodles). Noodles are well cooked, texture just right. Chillis, lards and sauces are well blended. Fish balls are bouncy but. It chewy. Love the way they prepared it, very old school. $4 for the bowl is average?

Great spot for kway teow soup with huge handmade her keow 魚餃 (fish dumplings). The fillings are fresh and well-marinated, and the broth is light and flavourful with a touch of shallot oil. Meatballs are good as well; fishballs just average when compared to the other Song Kee outlets. Have found the quality of the dry versions to be rather inconsistent. On some occasions, either the noodles get overcooked, or the dressing is a tad too oily.
