I combined 3 different aburi scallops for a colourful plate. They were delicious, though they could be torched a bit longer. The brownie is moist and yummy. Mochi was chewy and a good size. Bigger than a normal Chinese spoon. Seems like a better variety than when I had it years ago. There are Hokkigai and Anago, if I got the sushis right. And what looked like a shell variety, mixed in chilli and ketchup? Love the company of the tea. Love love, got pudding!! Don't compare with the more expensive chains. Diff mkt, hence the price. Lol. I don't expect much, COS THE PRICE. I typically patronise Genki or Itacho due to their wider variety. So I visited Sushi Express with open eyes. At this price, don't hiam as long is edible with ok service.

Was there at 3plus in the afternoon today. About 10 minutes later, I ordered sashimi and was shocked to be told that there is no sashimi today. While I understand that no sashimi available in the afternoon where there is not much crowd is a cost saving measure. However I would appreciate if the staff is more honest in his reply. I also feel it is necessary to let patrons know when they first enter the restaurant that certain popular food is not available.

This restaurant DO NOT prepare more food after 8.45pm. Eat only what is on the conveyor belt. I sit down around 8.40pm on Saturday evening. I wish to order 2 plate of salmon sashimi, but the staff told me they run out of salmon sashimi. Ask me to just take whatever is available on the converyor belt, but they are mostly the premium dish, pretty old and dry after leaving there a long time, and very limited items. Very disappointed. I went to the other outlet at seletar mall, the kitchen and staff will always take order, and push out more.

Went at 2.30pm. Queue moves relatively fast. Food is decent, sashimi cold and tasty. Time limit is gone. However, customers are seated side by side without masks. In the past, customers were still seated with a seat inbetween them, however here, everyone is cramped together. Food choices were not much, only a few items on the moving platform. Could be due to high demand from a lot of customers, or kitchen could not keep up. Service crew wasn't that helpful. Asked for sauce plate and soya sauce cause no more and was told to wait. Never got back to me and had to ask a few more times. There should not be a service charge.

Super disappointed in this outlet. Have visited other sushi express outlet and this was the worst experience. Understaff where they only have 4 staff to handle cashiering, clean up and restocking of utensil and serving the customer. When I sat down there was no sauce tray so I had to request for it and as they were busy I had to wait and just sat around not starting. Then I saw that they had the premium sushi and wanted to try the beef sushi and was again met with a wait as they were busy clearing plates, getting spoon and other stuff for the other patron. I had to ask another 1 more time with another staff before the order was β€œplaced” Waited 20 mins and ask the if the sushi was here and was met with some mumbling of ordered and on the belt before the guy went back to clearing tables and restocking cups and stuff. Finally I did not want to wait for my order after another 10 mins of waiting and requested for counting of plates so that I can leave and was met with another β€œwait ah” and waited 10 mins before getting the guy attention for counting and he said wait while getting spoons, charwamushi for other patron. Fed up I asked another guy and he said ok he will come later. Waited another 10 mins and nobody came and the guy just went about his other duties like clearing plates and going into the kitchen. At this point I was going to just put the money down and just leave the shop when I saw a table asked for the plates to be counted and then another table caught the attention of the guy and I too managed to catch the guy attention that I managed to get out of this understaffed sushi express outlet. I would definitely not visit this outlet again and I advise anyone who intend to visit to first check if how many staff is on duty today before going in as you are definitely going to be met with supar service and lots of waiting if there are not many people around.

This place was made great because of Mykin!!! She is super efficient and friendly and created a real Japanese sushi restaurant atmosphere. With her around, you can see a lot of happy customers :) Mikey is a superstar!!!

We were at front of queue with 5 pax. They let in 1 pax followed by 2 pax who were at least 2-3 places behind us in the queue. There was another family of 6. The picture showed the 2 that they seated first. Due to the bad planning, we could have sat in those 5 seats after people left shortly but we had to wait 15-20 min more with 3 hungry and cranky kids. What’s the point of queuing if our spot was not respected. The Tampines One branch is much better in sitting bigger groups.
