Swensen's

This Swensen's is located inside the E Hub of Downtown East. Food was good. But the staff was not attentive at all. We had to wait for so long to get the ordered food. Food was prepared and kept at the waiting counter but no staff was attending to serve it to us. We saw this was happening to other tables around us as well. There are plenty of tables available in the indoor seating area. If you visit this place, make sure to remind the staff regarding your ordered food.

Food is great. Service needs to be improved. Service is very slow. Had to wait more than 10 minutes till the drinks arrive to the table after they are prepared. Service can be more friendly specially considering the prices. Please note the prices mentioned are without tax.

Restaurant half empty and still long queue outside for more than 30 minutes just because the staff and management had a terrible table management, a lot of couples and trios using six people tables, while lots of four people table empty (we were five). They had more than one chance to reorganize but they took the easy route to make us all wait. The restaurant is screaming for maintenance or a good renovation. However, the food was good, came fairly quick and the dessert, as expected, was excellent.

Used to love coming here , staff were always nice. Glad to see a few familiar faces having been promoted. But sadly , the overall feel of dining in here is lost. I cannot blame the team as they seem to be clearly understaffed. You can see they are trying their best to control the turnover rate so the kitchen won't get backed up with the load of delivery orders. What to do , management at the top not taking care of their staff, results show.

Dined here on the 8th of April, around dinner time. The restaurant was run by youths around the age of 16-20. Service was pretty good, staff were very attentive and polite. However, the food wasn’t on par with the service. Me and another friend ordered the Couple Meal on discount which includes 2 Soup of the Day, 2 Pastas, 1 Side and 2 Drinks. The soup was pretty tasty, fries were alright, could be served hotter though (Was almost cold when served to us). The real issue was the pasta, I ordered the Beef Sausage Arrabbiata while my friend ordered the Duck Carbonara. Even though i’m not a food expert, i could tell that the Arrabbiata tasted WAYYY too oily and it wasn’t spicy enough. Moreover, there was little to no flavour on the pasta. The carbonara on the other hand, was quite flavourful, however, it is even more oily than the arrabbiata. We even took a photo of it after we finished to show the amount of oil used. Ice cream saved the day though :) I would give this place a 1star for the food, but the service from the FOH was excellent and efficient. (Keep it up guys!) so i gave it a 2 star. Food wise, there are a lot to be improved on. Would visit again in a few months to see any improvements :) Jiayou

The staff here such as Razip in white shirt has worked very hard. However, their business is very good and the restaurant was 80-90% full on weekday (Wednesday around 6-7pm). They also receive many non- stop order for ice cream cakes and grab take away delivery. Perhaps the owner/ management can consider to hire more staff during peak hours to help the existing number of staff. I am not a f&b restaurant owner myself so I cannot decide for them. But the staff seemed to be overworked and the workload is beyond their service level as business is very good even during now the phase 2a / 2 pax dine in stabilisation work from home phase.

Entry Waiting time : 30-45mins, even though there are empty dirty tables available Food waiting time : 30 mins Food quality : bolognese is still ok. Seafood pasta, I received 3 empty shells and only other 2 have it’s mussel on. Fish is hard like rock. Taste is fine Service : Staff quite ok but clearly the case of understaffed with the dirty tables. Kitchen could by overwhelmed by takeout orders too Will I go again? No for sure, unless I really didn’t have other choice

Visited on a public holiday, restaurant was quite packed but not overly long queue. Sadly, seems like the quality for this outlet is not as good compared to tampines. The fries were obviously sitting quite long too. Baked rice came out fresh and hot even though it took some time, but just feels that the standard is not there. Perhaps its becos of the PH. Hopefully would be better next time.
