Upon payment and getting the paper receipt I was shocked that they have started to implement the new GST charge. The food was alright but the 麻 taste is somewhat lacking in the broth. Sufficient range of food to pick. Again, if there was transparency in informing the customers about the price hike or other addons that would be good. Unlikely to return as there are better mala tang options particularly in Chinatown if one does not mind making the trip from the far west.

T	TAN KC on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Will not eat this place again. Service is a real problem as per other customer commented. We were given a nice seat during off peak and later taken away after we paid. Anyway, prepare to drink more water after your meals. Food ok but attitude not. After happily selected the food items and paid for our food. We notice one of the male service staff put his phone on our seat. Thus we have to hunt for another smaller seat. Saw his intention that he want the bigger prime seat to seat more ppl. Female staff that gave us the seat also blurred.
T	Tan Daniel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super long queue. Kudos to the service staff. Good coordination and great teamwork to clean up table in seconds to accommodate us. When inside, the wait for food is only a few mins. Love the sour spicy soup. Highly reccommended.

S	Serene Tan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the non-spicy chicken broth soup base. It's tasty and not that salty so it's easy to drink. I have tried their tomato broth before, and I like it more. This place gets really crowded at meal times, so expect to queue.

The taste is good, but a bit salty. The tomato broth is still better. What could be better is if they are able to add mala into the tomato broth.

Selection 4 ⭐️ Ambience 5✨ Experience 5 ✨ Food (Quality and Quantity) 5 ✨ Price 4 ✨ Nothing to really benchmark this against, but given that it’s nice and isn’t all too oily (we requested for less oil), it was undeniably a 5 star overall. There’s also tissues provided for, not to mention servers to help retrieve the food amidst this COVID period, which sort of adds to the cleanliness/neatness of the place, ensuring every patron gets an equal service and portion. Will definitely be back to try their other broth and selection! ?? Update, May 2022: Found out by surprised that there’s a 5% service charge and prevailing GST, the latter is understandable, but service charge? I’m to pick my own dishes, make payment at the cashier, collect my own dishes, plus there’s even a tray return area - not sure what I’m missing here..
