Best Chinese restaurant in Singapore

W	Wei Tan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time here. The service was good - the waitress was prompt and thorough in her ordering, and the food came quite quickly even though the restaurant was crowded. The food exceeded our expectations overall - the fish was fresh and goes well with the very flavorful sauce/soup, which had seeped well into all the other ingredients buried underneath the fish (e.g. tofu, lotus root). And we all love the brinjal which had this amazing taste and texture. On the whole, a very good experience even though it's more pricey as well.

Abundant ingredient for the fish; should be able to share between 3 people (4 if you are all small eaters). Go for less spicy if you are not a big fan of spiciness; or simply go for another flavour. I gave 4 stars because the fish taste was a little overwhelmed by the soup; but the fish is definitely fresh.

Grilled fish (with green chills) was great. The smokiness and flavor were good. The soup/gravy was excellent. Spice level (2 chills) was still manageable.

Especially they have the kid friendly Soy Sauce Grilled Fish. The waitress Wen Li is very kind to explain the food and revisit us for several times to check whether everything is ok. It is a nice place to go if your family would like to pay a visit to Science center or Snow Center. We have finished everything on the table.
X	Xian You Lim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great tasting Chongqing grilled fish at a quirkily designed restaurant. We ordered the spiciest broth but it was surprisingly manageable. Staff was friendly to instruct us to remove some of the chili for a less peppery experience. The limbo fish was tender and the grill came with many side dishes. Lamb skewers were great too. The taste was more localized than I thought it would be, but still an enjoyable meal overall.
J	Jason Ong on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delightfully funky and hip place that serves Chinese Grilled Fish in a hot pot of your choice of soup. First, you choose from 4 types of fish, then choose from 5 to 6 types of soup (from Mala to Non Spicy), and finally, choose what (optional) vegetables to add on, including luncheon meat, sausage or crab stick. It's a large portion, so there's no need to order any of the side dishes, unless you're starving. I personally prefer the spicy soup, although my friend, who doesn't like spicy food, likes the soy sauce option which we selected this time. The add on vegetables are hidden under the large fish, so you need to dig for them. I like to wait for a bit and let the fire boil the soup first, as I find that it's tastier that way. The decor is fun and the staff is efficient and friendly. Worth a visit.
