★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was in the food centre 8am in the morning and decided to give it a try as there were a lot of people eating it. The friendly stall owner informed me that the waiting time was 20mins when I ordered, noodles were okay but I did not quite like the fish balls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This stall was recommended by a friend, it was however not opened the other day. It must be my lucky day! This stall has been closed for weeks I heard. I sat down waiting for the lights of the stall to turn on, after a while, I realized all the uncles and aunties around me seemed to have placed their orders, I decided to wait no further. After a good 15 minutes wait, it was served! The smell and taste of the vinegar and chilli reminded me of Tai Wah which is just behind. The noodle is more chewy and the chai por that was in the noodle gave it a sightly different twist. While it did not carry the after taste of the fried sole fish, am I complaining here, or course not, for $4, this is really really good. Must have been the pork lard. The taste of the Fishball was also very good but on the more bouncy than soft side. Pork used is not the same part as Tai Wah and is less tender but lean. Also comes with 2 fish dumplings. Soup based is more fishball than pork. So this is one stall I will definitely revisit. And I heard Uncle say that he will pack up by 11.30am. So you see, you can’t really have it for lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started patronising this stall as a kid. This was breakfast for my family and I for years, even till today. Must have been like 40 years? Do note their operating days and hours. They’ve just reopened after months of closure due to medical issues. Opening only on weekdays and 3 to 4 days per week. Here’s the catch, their off days aren’t fixed. Weekends and PH closed for sure.
Love their mee pok. Some like their kway Teow mee soup.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fish ball is really good. Bouncy and crunchy. The dry Mee pok was not soggy and sauce blend well with the noodle. Clear soup base and very tasty. They served with slice pork meat which is different from other stall. Waiting time is not too long in early morning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice bouncy fishballs, abundant fish cakes. Noodles quality al dente and well done. The chilli was unfortunately underwhelming so maybe better to take the soup version. Tried other stall which was also quite good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious bowl of well seasoned (pork lard included) and springy noodles. Had the $3.50 mee kia dry version. Good amount of ingredients and tasty soup.
Friendly uncle and i am impressed with his memory even with an invisible q. You order your noodles with uncle and he will ask you to grab a seat and calls you when your turn is next.
