Finally found this curry chicken with baked puff bread at hong lim. The stall was operating out from jalan kukoh food centre at chin swee some years back. Very friendly and engaging stall operator. Always open to converse and chat as you queue and order. Today we tried it again. Spicy. Curry is thick and flavourful. Generous chicken leg chunks (boneless). There are potatoes and a hard boiled egg included in the curry and served with 2 baked puff pastries to dip.

When it comes to balancing healthy and tasty food, Mr Sax Choa got it spot on. His curry gravy is savoury and spicy enough to linger on without being overwhelming. At first I was apprehensive about the potatoes, egg and chicken being dished into the pot separately from the gravy, but they were al-dente of the right degree and more than makes up for it. The portion was sufficiently good for the price of $7.40 for 2 pratas and one mini pot of curry chicken (w one whole egg and one large potato). I did not try his curry and rice set. I can't wait to try again and if his rice does not disappoint, then he will get top marks from me. Another subtle good point is Midas seems to pay attention to minimal use of disposables. He invests in reusable utensils and seem to have paper to replace plastics for take-away packaging as much as possible. The curry is thick so for those eating in office attire, please be careful.

The food is good. Curry chicken is tender. The prata is soft and crispy. Will come back again.

Amazingly tasty pot of curry chicken and when soaked in the prata, it just made my day.

Thumbs up prata ! Excellent crispiness and flakiness. Not oily at all. Every bite is pure burst of joy. Dip in the curry chicken gravy that has hint of spiciness, not heavy nor jalek, potatos are soft without being mashy, chicken well flavored, boiled egg is good to mesh up in gravy, simply a mouthful of happiness. Finally, a prata dish that is light, shiok and definitely less cholesterol burden. Keep on going ... Will return for sure.

Midas Curry is a cross between the spicy Na Na Homemade Curry (Bukit Merah View Mkt) & the viscous fragrant coconut style of Hock Shun Traditional Homemade Curry (Redhill Mkt). There are probably some Indian spices thrown into the mix. The portion of the chicken curry which I had is fairly generous & filling. Overall would have given a higher rating if not for the lukewarm temperature of the curry, and there was no crowd at the stall to warrant such lacklustre gesture... maybe it is was a one off oversight, but make sure your curry is pipping hot for those who wish to try the dish.

Love the masala butter chicken. The curry flavor has a twist to it, because lemongrass is added to the gravy. The prata is always satisfyingly crunchy and flaky. Can't get enough of the food here.
