Average food but lousy attitude. The seller never see when he's preparing the soup and piece of meat drop off and left with just a scrap. Then I ask him he shout at me says this is consider a piece. Then he give me a proper piece and says now I got 2 pieces happy? Noodles also comes with spring onions which I indicated no spring onions and he acknowledged my order. Then he forgot and not happy to change again. This is the first and last. I have had better ones elsewhere.

Their very tasty fishball and fishcake are all handmade. They are sold out as early as 9.50am to 10.10am. Have been eating for 10 years already.

Didn't live up to the hype from the long queue and adverts featured on the stall. The fish balls were very bouncy and tasty, but overall noodles were so so.

Kway teow dry ($4) portion. Good bouncy and soft texture fishballs and fishcakes. You can taste and see that the fishball and fishcakes are handmade especially with their freeform chunky shapes. The noodles are done softer here and dressed in this delicious chili sauce with a hit of vinegar and lots of chunky fried lard. I enjoyed it very much. Having the fishcakes in the chili sauce is recommended. The only star down is the soup, seems a little bland and sweet. Uncle is a one man show machine. Would be best to give your order clear when prompted.

Fishballs were good - full of fish sweetness. The fish cakes, on the other hand, tasted artificially sweet. These fish cakes also looked very unusual, they seem to be scraped off rather than sliced. The noodles were so-so. Overall, still a good bowl of fishball noodles. Lady taking order was polite and e-payment was available. Hygiene level was quite low. The stall was messy like in a war zone. Cook started washing up during my turn and the helper took over the cooking with dirty water splashing nearby, grabbing noodles after handling money. Crockeries were dirty too.

This is a stall that I have eaten since the 70s, when Block 9,9A,10,11,12,12A were new flats. Now if you go there, the blocks are no longer there but just greenery. But this stall and the stallholder stood firm despite the passage of time. It is my goto stall whenever I visit Ghim Moh food centre. Best to go early morning when all the ingredients are still available.

Came specially to Ghim Moh post office to collect my passport so just trying my luck to see whether can I have a bowl of Thye Hong Handmade fishball noodle. Heng ah... 10.25am and I am their last customer ah!!!! Want to try better come early ah. I order mee with kuai tiao. But too bad only yellow noodle left. Firstly, the yellow noodle was nicely cook. Just nice and not mushy all stick together. Their pork lark and their chilli really make this bowl of noodle so tasty that I nearly lick it up all. Secondly, their fishball soup is fill with natural sweetness of the fishball and fish cake. Meaning the ingredients are really very fresh. Lastly, the handmade fishball and fish cake is so bouncy and so fresh. Not a bit of fishy smell or taste at all. And it carry a natural food sweetness that you don't find from any other fishball noodle stall. This is really a must try. But please come early ah. Reasonable price starting from $3.50 / $4.00 / $5.00. I had ordered the $5.00.

Finally managed to try the fishball noodles after 3 failed attempts. Sometimes the stall is closed on days indicated as open. I queued for about 15mins on 8:30am Sat. There is only the boss alone operating the stall but he works quite fast. I ordered the big $5 bowl. The mee pok is flavourful with lots of crispy pork lard. The handmade fishcakes and fishballs have a nice bouncy texture. The fishcake have a slightly sweeter taste while the fishball is slightly salty. There are also some lean pork meat in the soup. Overall, I would say their fishball noodles is comparable to Ru Ji at the nearby Holland Drive hawker centre.
