Toast Box

I do not usually post negative reviews and I am personally an easy going person and honestly, I ain't fussy. But this outlet, really has to buck up on their service delivery. First thing in the morning, was greeted by sour faces in the whole cafe. Asked for the otah toast if it's available, and I am guessing the lady didn't hear me well, gave me the stink eye and said, 'ha?". At which I repeated my question and before I could finish what I said, she retorted with a curt no. I understand that everyone has their bad days but to take it out on customers is just not right. From some of the previous reviews here, the service indeed needs some tweaking. I hope the management does something about this and the food and drinks are ok, but the attitude of the staffs just ruins the whole experience.

Staff were unfriendly, toast looks miserable, egg had a sulfuric smell (not fresh)

I would usually come here often for tea and order the curry rice for my children but today I was very disappointed at how I was treated. I needed plates for sharing so I asked the lady who was cutting up bread, she didn't respond. There were takeaway bowls near her so I decided I should just help myself with it as I didn't get a respond. When I was reaching out to the bowl, another lady dressed in a black shirt shouted "EXCUSE ME WHY ARE U TAKING THAT." I responded, I need plates. She then replied "PLATE THEN TAKE THIS ONE LAH", she pointed to the squared plates situated near the lady who was cutting up bread. She handed me one, and I wanted another. She responded rudely "WHY YOU NEED IT FOR!". After that she scoffed and asked the lady cutting up bread, why she want to take that (referring to the takeaway bowl). Seriously toast box you need to teach the workers how to speak to your customers. We are frequent customers but to be responded like that was extremely rude. I was in fact dumbfounded and speechless at that time otherwise I would have given the lady dressed in black a proper scolding.

Would like to commend the main barista (wearing black, sorry didn’t get her name). There was a child who knocked over the trays, but instead of responding in a typical frustrated manner, she stopped her work and went up to the child and asked kindly if he was okay. Totally refreshing behaviour. I work in the office in the same building and she has always been friendly and upbeat as well. Hope the company can refer this praise to her. Very impressed.

This toast box have better layout than many out there. Much more organized and I even saw they could hold a big group towards the back of the store. The bright light is really nice as the entire mall and it’s restaurant is full of moody lights. The bright light here is spot on for taking my tea! Big and nice decco! I recommend coming here for your kopi!
