β β β β β You Should only eat here if you believe time is a mental construct. Came to Tomo restaurant on a Tuesday, there were only 2, I repeat: TWO other tables. Yet it took about 45 minutes to get our first dish (COLD) soba and 80 min to get the the other 3 dishes we ordered. I presume that the kitchen was running a squid game challenge where contestants have to cook on their backs while blindfolded using oven mittens. Seriously you could order food from Jewel and it would have arrived earlier. The staff is friendly and the food is above average but it took so long and we were so hungry we would have eaten a grilled rock. I would only recommend to come here if someone got you tickets to a show you hate and you want to miss all of it.

β β β β β we ordered medium steak, but it came well done. for the mentaiko fries, it was a miserable amount of mentaiko. for the rice, it was soggy and sticky. for the highball, all we could taste was yuzu and sakura, almost gave it to the kids.

β β β β β The food is quite mediocre but the setting is lovely and the lack of a line makes it easy to feed kids quickly.
It maybe more of a happy hour place than a proper dinner location: the edamame, kitsune meatballs and fried chicken were fine. The rest of the dishes were over cooked or bland.

β β β β β Nama lemon sour + Long island were good. Karaage was also quite yummy although $9 for a small portion is quite steep

β β β β β Have early dinner at the Esplanade branch of Tomo Izakaya. Even though the menu was reduced in choice, we still managed to order stuffs what we enjoyed. Because there's hardly any customers, our orders were served pretty fast and there's also happy hour price for 2 mugs of Sapporor beer. Overall a pleasant experience!
