Twelve Cupcakes (NEX) - 23 Serangoon Central

Meh cupcakes that are overpriced. I won't buy them for myself but since my friend bought it for me, so I gave it a shot. Cream is full of coloring and sugar so rather spend my calories on other desserts.

Mediocre and palatable cupcakes . Overpriced IMO

Ordered the Hazelnut cake. TLDR; cake looked good tasted terrible. Was dry and when cut with a knife, easily broke apart and crumbled. Chocolate coating also tasted strangely artificial. Not worth the price at all.

Ordered the hazelnut cake,mango slice cake. The quality is below expectation. The sponge lacks moisture and dry out. It just falls into pieces. Tasted like a cake that has been left out for a few days. First and the last time.

Always a fan of the red velvet cupcake. Love this combination and twelve cupcakes has one of the best cupcakes in town.

Dear Twelve Cupcakes team, It is with great dismay that I have to write this. I had an extremely disappointing day, which happens to be my birthday on 11 July 2022. My husband had pre-ordered a chocolate cake from Heartland Mall, and had scheduled the collection date to be on 11 July. On the morning of 11 July at around 9am, he received a call from a staff from HQ informing us that the Heartland Mall outlet is closed. Reason was because the staff has contracted Covid. He was told that he could collect the cake from the nearest outlet Nex, anytime. At around 10am (opening hour) my husband arrived at Nex, while I waited at home with my 4-month old baby. The outlet was closed, no staff was seen. For the benefit of doubt, he waited until about 10.30am for your staff to open the outlet but to no avail. We carried on with the birthday celebration during lunch at my parents’ place, without a cake. My husband then assumed that the Nex outlet would already be opened in the afternoon. Again, he travelled all the way to Nex around 2pm. Guess what, the outlet was still closed. He also travel to Hougang One to discover that the outlet is also closed. He eventually contacted your company via WhatsApp Business to enquire on the service lapse before securing a promised cake delivery by 5pm as way of ‘service recovery’. (Cake arrived with free cupcakes at 5.10pm, but flavour was wrong) The question was why didn’t anyone contact him to inform him of the closure of Nex outlet so that he did not have to make the trip down twice. Not sure why so many outlets were closed too. Just pretty upset at the moment that my poor husband had to waste his morning and afternoon trying to grab hold of a cake. And my family had to carry on with their plans at 3pm as the cake was nowhere to be seen. Kindly look into the way your operations are being run as there is certainly room for improvement. Really hope that there wouldn’t be similar episodes for other customers. Thank you.
