★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This used to be one of my favourite spots.
Today I visit I think the chef most have a bad day. The spicy wanton were drowning in vinegar… used to have more balance with the Chili so sad … The XO carrot cake is not worth mentioning but chicken wings were ok. But who can really fail in deep frying chicken wings ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All the food was delicious but the cheung fun didn’t have sweet soy sauce, char siu bao/ bun got me and my brother mildly sick. Kailan was very good though with very bright green colour, and the har gao we’re very nicely wrapped.
Nothing to complain about with the customer service or seating etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in school holiday, inside has already 75% full. The variety is alot, felt like in hk cha Chang Teng . Can see they were understaffed, the waiters were walking, serving and attending customers nonstop. Anyway we managed to place order and got the prawns omelette rice served in short time. The set just $10 comes with a free cup a hot milk tea/coffee. I missed a lot hk milk tea !! If wanted cold tea/coffee, add on $1.20 .
As for shabu shabu , when ordering I was told it takes 15min . So I checked with waiter when 15min hit and she went to get it out from Kitchen for me. Haha
The shabu shabu just $13.90 . Ingredients were fresh , thick and juicy pork slices , prawns. Due to tan out of scallop , extra pork were substituted, shabu shabu comes with udon. Super filing and satisfied!
There’re dim sum and toast set in menu and look so tantalising. Will come back and try it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Xin Wang used to be my favourite place many many many years ago however i have not visited for couple of years as i felt the standard dropped. Visited at CNY eve lunch, crowded. Waited about 15 mins to get my table. Service normal. They have revamped the place and menu. Ordered 2 main + 1 side + 1 dim sum. The portion is decent but the taste varies. Some good some bad. The XO carrot cake taste good. The custard bun is bad. Custard in 流沙包 should 流出来的 but look at the pic, is solid, disappointing. The soya milk with redbean also not good, red bean is little and drink is tasteless. This is not a place that is in my favourite list anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Morning breakfast could be tough during weekend luckily the queue is short while still plenty of seats. They are running short of staffs in the morning though.
Ordered the dim sum and my favorite XO carrot cakes. The minced meat century egg porridge was surprisingly delicious but the portion is small. Occasionally the staffs forgot our request and bring the wrong order over, more staffs could improve the situation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haven't step in xin wang for years...few days back tried the olive fried rice at amk hub and is delicious. Today told my sisters to try again everyone gave me the look that not nice leh... to our surprise, is yummy and improved so much.
Ordered horfun, wow is wokhey taste and yummy, papaya meehoon soup (light and tasty), curry with bun is amazing... crispy bun and thick and yummy curry.
Mochi is good too.
We were happy to have our sisters gathering here today and will be back.
Staff were all friendly and helpful too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place at affordable price. Food is good and portion is huge for the price. Food is served quick and hot, definitely a nice place to go to if you want to have a quick fix of neighborhood western food. The design of the place is quite problematic though, with some tables side by side and only divided by a barrier at shoulder height when sat down. Literally the person next to me kept talking and I'm quite worried about social distancing lol. Maybe make those barrier higher but I think that will be hard given their open concept. By default you order and pay by card in the website, which is quite strange
