★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was good, free flow salad bar has wide range of variety (not just western, even thai, or rojak), mash potato was the nicest for me, while the coleslaw sucks hahaha
But service was slow, long q outside while tables inside were not cleared. Empty tables but customers were not allowed in too, most probably too busy. Some of the sides were served wrongly too.
The table beside mine got free mushroom soup because their food took too long.

1. It wasn't crowded considering it was lunch time.
2. But the waiting time before my food arrived was very long (close to 20 mins) and this is not a gourmet restaurant so it shouldn't be that long
3. I ordered well done steak but look at the photo - that doesn't look well done, does it? It was so hard to chew and ended up only eating 1/8 of my plate
4. It's not cheap too

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anglio pasta is good. Soup was good too. Steak taste a bit like chicken - not sure if its the same grill place used one after another.
Cold bean sprouts, sweet potatoes, egg, mushrooms. Last order was 8pm there about, and I felt that I didn't order a lot from the sides bar because the sterving was long.
Overall, staffs was good and attentively. It feels like they are short of manpower as there we only 2 wait staffs on duty and it was quite busy for dinner time due to fasting month.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Standard has dropped immensely since they changed the concept, with raised menu prices and a "free-flow" salad bar to justify it. Unfortunately they definitely don't have the staffing power to manage the influx of orders during lunch hour, especially given the size of the main dishes and sides. As expected from any buffet that claims to be "free-flow", it took almost 20 minutes for each of our sides orders to be sent to our table. Customers at other tables were also left waiting for long periods to get their orders in, or to receive their orders.
Management should look into the staffing situation, or switch back to limited sides in order for the staff to be able to cope.
Pictured: What was supposed to be a chicken chop in BBQ sauce that was covered in what seemed to be ketchup instead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not worth the price. Chicken chop portion is small, but taste is ok for me. The sides are horrible.
Imagine someone paying $10.80 just for the salad buffet without the main course, likely will curse and swear.
My chicken chop is $12.80 with the salad buffet (exclude 10% service charge and 7%gst). I can’t help comparing this with Aston chicken chop $10.90 with 2 side dishes but no salad buffet. I prefer the later.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and worthy. If you order the sambal fish fillet , you must order the butter rice ,perfect match. I also love the mushrooms . If you order the cheese Mac, then must order the corn wow taste great. I love this store . Serving good and fast .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tired Staffs look and feels overworked but generally still nice.
Food not that great. Steak is a big let down as it really hard, the other so so. Look at the nice sauce in the pictures for both main meal ( it take skill to squeeze that tiny drop in that position) for our meals. Sides dishes .....
