β β β β β This outlet makes the most crispy toast and nicest teh ping siew dai. Would not recommend other outlets such as West Mall and Lot 1 due to their poorly made toast. Would recommend this outlet and Jurong Point.

β β β β β I ordered my usual kopi siew dai but decided to try their home-baked pandan chiffon cake today. Sadly, the cashier told me they no longer serve regular size coffee. When I hesitated about upsizing my coffee, the cashier was quick to say that the price difference was only 10 cents. After I placed my order, I noticed other patrons were given the regular size coffee. The kopi siew dai was still a little too sweet for me, and the cake was not what I have expected, unlike pandan chiffon cakes I had eaten. Their muffins are better though.

β β β β β So so service. They do franchise and also open their own shop. Guess it is difficult to control the quality of service and food when it is franchised. Often the working culture is such that the service is not up to the mark. Often we get stale coffee and have to exchange it after some bargaining.

β β β β β Extremely rude black collar shirt lady, ordered a set B peanut butter without Kaya toast m. She added butter and charge me extra. Told her my drink to take away yet she still serve it in a cup. After correcting her, I still hv to ask her for a carrier for my tea. How does she expect me to hold the tea and walk around??? Eggs have shell in it and sheβs only busy chit chatting about 4D. If sheβs a manager, she doesnβt deserve to be.

β β β β β Ordered silky barley and iced milo. My god. They were both so diluted. They were the worst I ever drank in Ya Kun outlet. Someone should come here and do QC more often. Iced milo was not anywhere close to any coffeeshop in Singapore! Terrible. Barley was like water. I hope this isnβt the start of the decline in standard from Ya Kun. And guess what, someone at the adjacent table ordered the same ice milo and he said the same!

β β β β β Food quality is ok here. I think the half boiled eggs are a little too watery compared to normal standard. The French toast was also too underwhelming in terms of what you would expect of a proper French toast, ie crispy on the surface but soft on the inside. The outlet is also a little untidy with boxes stacked at the seating area and not as clean with houseflies bugging you while dining. I wouldnβt want to dine in this outlet unless the issues mentioned here are addressed.
