β β β β β I would say the must order is Wagyu Intecoastal.
Tender juicy at $20/portion not by weight.
They should be fair and state the price/weight.
Wagyu fat fried rice tasted pretty normal.
Service was good though

β β β β β I forgot to take photos of other dishesβ¦ The meat quality is not one of the best in town though but decent enough. But the dining experience is one of most attentive i experienced for a Yakiniku restaurant. The staffs take turn to grill for customers and explain in details how to grill each type of meat.
Among all the dishes we ordered, surprisingly i like the iberico pork jowl as usually Iβm not a big fan of pork.
The 21 days dry aged wagyu ox tongue is in think cut and fulfilling. But i feel can add more seasoning to it as here only provides salt as dipping sauce.
Definitely would like to visit again.

β β β β β I usually much prefer Japanese Wagyu beef, but the Australian Wagyu served here is pretty good! I especially liked the thin cut karubi.
Oh the beef noodles - the broth was extremely flavourful, just spicy enough, and the tendons were soft and melty.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff who cooked meats just right.

β β β β β We loved our experience at Yen Social. The space was clean and elegant, front-of-house staff were so attentive and had good knowledge of the cuts and dishes.
I loved that they do the cooking for you (when it isn't so busy, so come on a weekday night for that extra touch) so everything was done perfectly and you can completely enjoy your drinks and conversations without having to worry about those meats over cooking. Special shout out to Zhiling who made the night extra special for us, and grilling those meats so well!!

β β β β β This restaurant will hit the spot if you are craving for good quality Yakiniku - they have all the super good cuts such as Ox tongue, Australian ribeye, A4 Wagyu, and many more.
We had a waitress (her name is ε°εΏ) who grilled the meat for us, and she did it to perfection. She's friendly and attentive to our requests, and she's extra glazed the meat with her sunshine character! ?
The other restaurant staff also gave us a detailed introduction of the meat selection. Our favourite was the A4 wagyu steak. The waitress, Xian Xin, who cooked it for us had lived up to her name as she was meticulous to ensure that the A4 was not over/under cooked. It takes a lot of skill to grill such a steak perfect, and she's done it. ?
We ended off with a delivious slice birthday cake - Yuzu cheesecake.
Overall, a great 5 stars dining experience. Will definitely recommend this, and also visit again.
Ps: the Kimchi was great too, well fermented.

β β β β β Gave Yen Yakiniku's more casual / group concept ( still feels quite upmarket though ) a try, wasn't impressed previously...and this time well ? but my comparisons are really hard to beat ?
Starting off with the good points, the restaurant itself is really spacious with very good ventilation and the charcoal grill was superb ( if you know how to manage it, they occasionally help with grilling but I can see someone inexperienced sending their Beef well done hell )
The 300g Social Platter consists of Australian Wagyu ( pretty sure... ) with cuts: Jo Karubi | Thick Cut Karubi ( tasted the best with great marbling ) | Nakaochi (Rib Finger / Intercostal - bouncy chews for rewarding umami release ) and Ribeye.
Overall, pretty delicious cuts that were above average but not much satisfaction spikes / big impressions. The marinade they has a good ratio of sweet-salty though.
Ox tongue was cut with very good precision and processing, each slice was thin with no sinew. Negi was fresh and sweet but was kinda surprised it was added post grill ?
Yukke was really underwhelming and dull total dissappointment with it ?ββοΈ
Wagyu Fat Fried Rice was really good though and became the dish of the night ?
Had alot of anticipation for the TW style Wagyu Beef Noodles which turned out pretty normal. Broth was ok...beef chunks werent very soft for a 48 stew, noodles had a nice bite.
Paying a premium for a comfortable environment, good grills and decent meats is reasonable but I personally rather have all value funneled to the meats ? Tried to order their dry-age items but it was sold out...maybe I dodged a bullet? ? ?

β β β β β Pleasent dining experience. Excellent staff, very knowledgable in their craft, able to explain to you reasons for resting periods for steaks and reason for charcoal grill instead of induction grill. Puts you at ease that the staff really want for you to have a good dining experience. Would come again.

β β β β β Great ambience and very good service from the waiters.
Felt that the meat had too much seasoning so it was too salty for my liking.
Beef fat fried rice tasted good but I wished there was some meat in it too.
Sake selection quite good.
Desserts were great, the nama chocolate was our favourite.
