Hey A.LAB, just wanted to pen down my honest review to speak about my own experience with your services amidst all these overwhelming bad reviews I went to them on a Friday evening to service my macbook battery and also possible flashdrive fault . I didn't know they were an authorized service provider and not official apple itself. Everything went well at the initial visit, i was attended to promptly and I sent in my laptop for repair. I was informed i would receive my laptop repaired 3-5 working days so latest by the next Friday. My worrying and doubt came during the next week. There was no news on Monday. I received their quotation on Tuesday and made payment. However, there was no confirmation from them that they received my payment and are on-going with the repair UNTIL i had to call them directly on Thursday asking what is going on ?? I was shocked to hear that they're just waiting for the parts for the flashdrive to arrive. This made me doubtful they can deliver by Friday as they haven't even started the repair ! What's worse is when i read all these bad reviews about them LOL. I was panicking but I tried to find the best solution within both our means. I needed my laptop within the stipulated time for work ! So i suggested we just proceed with the battery repair only. But then the staff on the call advised me it is recommended to wait for the flashdrive parts to arrive as the system might not even start up if we omit the flashdrive repair. We went back and forth for awhile, and i started to be skeptical about the staff's intentions, like "you just wanna convince me to spend my money even when you can't guarantee to deliver on time??". Anyway, i expressed my concerns and desperation that i NEED the laptop by Friday. The staff got back to me on Friday morning that the flashdrive parts will arrive TWO WEEKS LATER. which was an absolute no-go for me ah LOL. So finally, we went ahead with just the battery repair. And i collected my macbook on the same day evening right before they closed. In the end, my macbook was working fine, battery is brand new, flashdrive sometimes still shutdown and reboot but not too disruptive that i can't do my work. They issued me a partial refund for the repair omitted. Most importantly, i was just relieved from all the anxiety and unknown of whether my macbook is in good hands ! BOTTOMLINE: I appreciate that A.LAB listened to my concerns and needs as a client, or even as human being really, who's crying for help. I appreciate that A.LAB respected my decision as the client to choose what i wanna do despite the risk advised by you professionals. I was overall still satisfied because i got my laptop repaired by the deadline they previously told me. BUT: YOU GUYS GOTTA UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF CLIENT'S TIME. One day where the laptop is not with me is a day i can't get any work done. My laptop was with you guys for 6 days, just sitting there waiting for parts to arrive . And you guys didn't even let me know that it was delayed !! Maybe in the future, you guys could implement a better system to do things /SOPs. Perhaps only taking in client's laptop when parts are confirmed . Sometimes it's not people's fault lah, it's the system or structure. Also, I think just more professionalism about time would help alot . But through this whole experience, i realized it wasn't as bad as most of these reviews paint the picture. Just wanted to give another perspective here. Hope it helps. Cheers guys

We recently had gone down to Alab to get a 1 to 1 exchange as our phone broke. We went to the plaza sing outlet on 21st June, and everything was agreed upon and we were even quoted a price of $670+ and was already about to make payment. As the credit card machine was down, we were unable to make payment and the associate assured us that we could come again in a day or two and make payment. The associate also assured us that the amount would be the same and it should be smooth transaction and process when we come back. When we came back on the 25th of June, after waiting for a full hour we were told that our phone needs to be sent back for a couple of days to run a full diagnostic again, and they told us that they were now not able to quote a price. The previous associate that served us on the previous visit was in the exact same store and when we asked if we could speak to the other associate that assured us that the exchange could be done, the refuse to even enquire with the previous associate when he is standing in the exact store. This is totally unacceptable , such a waste of time and effort and the staff was completely not helpful

Spent $130 to get the new OS installed on my Macbook Air and waited for it for close to 3business days, just to face issue with the software..again. Should have just headed to the Apple Store. The outlet at MBS got it fixed in less than 2hrs at no charge. Feel so short-changed.. :(

1. Appointment on 3pm. Counter told me need to wait for 40min, then whatโ€™s the point of making appointment? 2.After 40min of waiting. They checked and confirmed my AirPods Pro got issue and itโ€™s an manufacture defect, BUT just because there is a scratch on the AirPods Pro, they want charge me out-of-warranty fee which is $138 for single side. Their explanation is because my unit is damaged so cannot cover by warranty. Really Ridiculous!

Went to the store last week to get a replacement for an ear piece which was still under warranty. It was rejected because the lady at the counter said there was a bit of wear on one end (its a very trivial wear and hardly noticeable). I felt this was not a good reason for the rejection. The lady said even I try to make a case for a replacement, it would not work. I went to the official Apple Store at Orchard Road immediately after this as I was not convinced, and succeeded in getting a replacement for my ear piece . There seems to be different standards in assessing warranty claims. I suggest if you have similar issues, it may be useful to visit the official Apple Store first. The staff there are knowledgeable and at least, regardless of the outcome, the decisions made on your items would make you feel its based on certain objective criteria.

To be very honest, despite the bad review, probably i am just lucky that my experience wasnโ€™t that bad. Apple watch stuck on logo and went in , waited not long maybe 15mins and was served. Lady who served me was quite informative and friendly. Explain to me all the details and cost if thereโ€™s any since i still have apple care. Took them about 5 days and i collected my apple watch hassle free.

Sent my laptop for repair, diagnostics pointed to battery being faulty. The attending technician was rushing and I'm assuming he didn't make take the time to make a proper diagnostic. Anyway, a couple of days later I got the machine back. Initial usage were ok but after a couple of cold boots, the machine started throwing errors and refused to boot up. I reached out again to A.LAB for a comment and they told me my warranty had just ran out and I would need to fork out money to get the motherboard replaced. I was furious. I had to reach out to apple directly to help get this situation resolved. Thankfully, the apple representative was fantastic and offered to void the part purchase on their end but unfortunately I had to fork out the extra $130 for the service fee. First off, the first repair appointment should have brought out this fault and secondly, why am I still charged a service fee? The machine was complete fine with no logic board errors until I sent it for repair at A.LAB and for all we know it could have been due to their incompetency that my machine is now bricked. Anyway, I paid for the service charge but let this be a lesson for us to always triple check the machines you're getting back from this service provider because they for hell won't do it for you. Trash tier service and it would really serve you well to just steer clear and book an appointment at the apple store.
