Ai Shang Fish Hotpot 爱尚鱼捞 - 14 Liang Seah St

Third time patronising. My go to place for cheap and fresh food. Had the premium buffet selection, standard and freshness remains the same as when it just opened. No idea why some comments says selection limited, when there’s quite a variety and they even expanded to next door. Must have: Garlic prawn and beef pepper cube from the premium menu. Only catch: No matter how many servings you click, one portion comes but thank god they serve fast so just remember to add on right after it’s served!

Where do I begin? This was a highly anticipated visit, and perhaps due to the anticipation, I felt extremely let down. This is a highly raved location on little red book but I really couldn't see what was good about it. Firstly, it's priced higher than most competitors. I was not able to detect any positive quality difference against its neighbours. Meat portions came relatively small so you had to constantly reorder. Flavours are reasonable but it gets too repetitive due to the lack of marinade options. The mala broth was lacking depth but wasn't poor. The prawns were superb though - huge and fresh. The herbal broth was good and hearty but ended up really bland towards the middle of the meal. Value was off for me. Drinks were a la carte and no plain water was offered. I was hoping it'll be included at this price point. We got desperate and ordered herbal tea to quench out thirst - $1 with ice is a fair price. Cheapo or not is truly subjective. Service was alright but not particularly outstanding in any way. Seats were wooden benches that hurt my bum. It seemed as though it wasn't designed with comfort in mind. Here's my take - go for other shops that offer better value (e.g. cheaper, drinks/ice cream included)

Very decent food place. Price is on the higher side and some dishes are limited selection (even though it's buffet) but it's worth it. One down side is there's no unlimited drinks.

Fun place to try the BBQ pot. Employees have been really patient and helpful in explaining us how it works. Food is delicious and even though we can only rate this joint as tourists we recommend it. Good value for money.

concept of both hotpot and grill is great, this restaurant has a large selection of cooked food and grilled dishes too, really liked the grilled prawns and scallops, 凉面, century egg! however have to pay for the drinks (not free flow) and the seats are not very comfortable, quite a squeeze

taste good but it's NOT the traditional style of “buffet”. You have to pay extra for the soup base and cost extra price to “upgrade” your buffet choice, which is different from their xiaohongshu ads and food review

Fan of garlic and prawns? Just come here and enjoy! I love their garlic prawn so much that was the dish i kept ordering. Generally, their seafood are quite ok and they also have a signature thin fish slice shabu shabu which is quite interesting. I loved their cooked food so much too we just didnt have the belly to eat everything. The store is quite small though, best for 2-4 pax but not 5. It gets way too squeezy. It is on the pricier end as compared to the entire stretch of competitors, but for the dual pot + bbq and freshness of seafood, i think it is still reasonably priced. P/S: i really love the prawns so much i didnt take a photo of it hahaha. But trust me its rlly gooooood

1st time eating here. Really enjoyed the wide spread of varieties to choose, we had the premium menu. The scallop with garlic & vermicelli taste really good but downside is one per patron only. Prawns are de-shelled and quite fresh. Soups are very flavourful, we chose herbal chicken & hot/sour fish soup. Love their 粑兹, century egg(cold dish) too. Service is fast, clean environment and seatings are widely spread. Will definitely come again
