Had a haircut by Ann and left extremely disappointed I have 2A/2B wavy hair And what came out of her mouth shocked me She told me it's frizzy and messy and requires REBONDING! How ironic! Her PR and adverts painted an image of her that she suffered through a childhood of not having a stylist that understood her hair problems but she did the same thing to me... Not worth the $80! Even neighborhood stylist could do the same cut she did at less than a fraction of the price :( Edit;; 28/6 I would recommend anyone who suffered the same fate as me to try out immagine hair studio (which is only a couple bucks extra) for a better style. Hairstylist has a terrible and arrogant attitude. Told her I prefer long hair but instead of listening to my opinions , she forced her own ideas and pressured me to cut short hair instead!!! Is this what customer service about?!! I even showed her pictures of what I wanted and she hardly looked at it!!! Didn't even bother to try!!! Hair cut only took less than 5 min which feels lack of effort !!!! Now my hair is over layered which makes my hair even thinner !! Maybe she is a supposedly curl specialist but obviously don't know how to deal with people with thin curly hair !!! Ridiculous!! Do not visit !! So overpriced for a haircut from a neighbourhood hair salon. Beware!!!! Go at your own risk!!

This was my first time trying out Curly Ann Studio. After years of never being able to find a hairdresser who can not only tolerate curly hair but also really treat it with the care and knowledge that it deserves, I was excited to try out Annie's services. I booked my slot via Whatsapp two days earlier (booked on a Monday, initially wanted Tuesday, but slots were full so we decided on Wednesday.) Annie greeted me warmly when I entered, and was jovial and patient throughout the one-hour session, asking me about myself and sharing about herself. Her friendliness seemed to contrast some of the google reviews I'd read that mentioned the opposite experience. Perhaps there may have been other factors contributing to the less than pleasant experiences of some reviewers? I have thick curly hair which can be quite a feat to manage. I'd been growing it out over the past few years and I wanted to get down to a short pixie-ish cut. This would be considered "risky" and "adventurous" to some people who believe short curly hair is impossible to pull off, but not Annie. I showed Annie some pictures of what I wanted and also an old picture of myself with the length I wanted and she got to work confidently with little hesitation or questioning (which, given my previous experiences with some hairdressers, is truly a relief.) I'm extremely pleased with the result. I've had short haircuts before but it's always a challenge to make it look stylish and Annie managed it almost effortlessly. Maybe the only qualm I have is that I'm not used to having as much product in my hair as she applied towards the end, but she made it look really stunning so that's not a major problem. Also prices may be considered steep for some, but considering Annie is the only hairdresser at her studio (she has assistants sometimes but it's largely a one-woman outfit) and it's by appointment only, that exclusivity contributes to the price. (Also, she gives 20% off on your birthday month; I'm glad I decided to go before February ended!) Overall I'd highly recommend Curly Ann Studio to everyone who has struggled to find good hairdressing services in Singapore due to having atypical hair.

Booked this studio after googling for a good hair salon competent in handling curly hair. I’ve been to many hair salons, both curly hair based and non curly hair based, but this was honestly the worst one I’ve been to. She was rude, which was unwarranted for. A quick “so what you wanna do today?”. That was it. Hairstylist blatantly shot down the haircut idea I had and said my curls were not suited for it, which I totally understand- that not all hairstyles will suit/ is applicable to everyone. So when I asked for her suggestion, it came as a shock that she did not give me any at all. She did not suggest anything and only repeated “if you can’t visualise it, better not to do it”. There was no client rapport built, nothing to understand my hair or how I manage it, zero interest taken in the client’s hair needs. 2 stars because haircut was done well, but attitude was zero.

Small salon and personal attitude! Love it! Ann is skilful and knows how to cut wavy, curly hair. And this is not easy job! My fine curls were well shaped, specially the top layer, which always grows faster then my under layers. She used curl cream and gel and diffuse it in the right direction so the volume can pop out. Recommend it to all natural wavy/curly beauties.

Am a customer of Annie since 2018(?). Love how she knows how to cut my wavy hair and doesn't condemn me for my natural hair texture. I also like that there is no hard selling.. ?

There were no awkward questions on the products I used.. neither was there any disapproval given for how I maintained my hair.. Ann didn't start the haircut by finding 1001 things wrong with my hair which is usually what happens in most hair studios. Ann understands and works great with curly hair. This was my most peaceful haircut ever.

Greeted by a warm smile, Annie professionalism is impeccable. I shared with her how I would like my hair done, and she was able to help me achieve the look. On top of that, she shared tips on how to maintain the curls, and also give advice not to perm and colour hair all at once. It's been almost 1 month plus, and my hair condition is still good (the short curls still have it's volume, and the colour of my hair compliments my skin). Highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a change in hairdo!
