Chongqing Premium Grilled Fish (Kinex)

1st time eating there due to its snapper menu. Restaurant is cosy and comfortable. Service is good. We tried the garlic favour, not bad, quite nice. Is a whole snapper at $48 and with a fried mantou $8. Total bill is around $70+. More to the expensive side but if 4 pax still ok. Fish is fresh but if you are a fussy fish eater can still tell the fish is not from wild or rather rear from farm.

Tried the double spice soup base grilled fish. Not spicy, very savoury. Add on mushroom and potato and Maggi noodle. The serving of noodles abit small but just nice for us. See picture. In kinex level 1.

If you have not tried Chongjing Grilled Fish, this place is a good introduction. Myth: Everything is spicy, and the place is smoky with oily fumes. Truth: Everything is clean, the air and the environment. And the food served are healthy, fresh, and delicious with something for everyone. For the uninitiated, grilled fish conjured up an image of a smoky, oily, and noisy eating place. Understandavly so, as many of them used to be run by North Asian economic migrants. With their fellow countrymen in mind, they merely replicated everything from back home: an affordable, satisfying meal. Here at Chongjing, the owners took things up a few notches. The decor is tasteful, the air is clean, and the service is impeccable. You feel like you are in classical Cantonese restaurant replete with traditional service beginning from the tea. We were attended to by a Mr. Daniel Lee. He used to manage the famous Peach Garden (Orchid Country Club) and his touch was evident all around. About the grilled fish. He patiently explained the options, and ways to order and stayed around to ensure all is well. Yes. We enjoyed ourselves. It is a whole new experience for our three-generation family. The verdict: Good meal. Great discovery. We will come again. Maybe a bit more adventurous and go for the spicy broth.

Price was really reasonable as compared to other more popular brands of grilled fish stores out there. The fish was fresh too. Taste wise 很下饭

Ordered 辣子鸡 and 香辣 patin fish. Chicken is awesome! Boneless, crispy, flavourful with the right level of numbness? Nice dining environment with attentive and approachable staffs ? will definitely visit again to try other dishes. Oh you can check eatigo for discount and if I'm not wrong they are having a lunch promotion of 20% if you dine there between 12 - 4pm.

Nice decor, with great spacing between tables so it doesn't feel too squeezy and you have your own space. Food is fairly priced (for a mall restaurant please note) and tastes great. Service was much more personable and friendlier than other Chinese restaurants. The auntie who was serving us was so pleasant even late into the night it was so hard not to feel comfortable. The service and food feels like they take pride in their offerings and it was a great experience overall

Full house when I visited but service was still top notch! Staffs are very friendly. We ordered the Superior Spicy fish and lala. Both are extremely fresh and delicious! Spinach with century egg was very flavourful. The space has a cozy ambience. Highly recommended! Will come again for sure! ????

Nice ambience with great service and great food! Repeated visit to this place, love the peaceful and cozy ambience. Ordered 香辣金目卢(中辣), 辣子鸡 and a pot of 普洱 (refillable). Fish was fresh, huge and nicely grilled!! Nice flavourful soup thats not too oily. We added a few more extra ingredients and the portions were generous. 辣子鸡's spice level just nice.. i think this is a must try! We were served by a gentleman and another senior lady... they were both very attentive and nice!!!! ? Our bill ~ $71+ for 2 pax after a 20% discount promo. They have alcoholic drinks and many other dishes on the menu. Highly recommend???!!!
