β β β β β Bought vouchers on Fave! :) Had the best ever customer experience here! Clayable team responded very promptly and amicably over whatsapp. Fuss-free in arranging a session - staff offered me multiple time slots to select from, was keen to help arrange other timings if unsuitable. They also took the initiative to send me details on the shuttle bus into Grandstand and photos to locate the studio - which made getting there so much easier!
The studio has a humble and homely vibes. Equipment was very clean, and materials were prepared for us. Although it wasnβt hot, the staff set up extra fans to make us more comfortable. The teacher to student ratio was about 1:2 (although we were told it could get busier on weekends!)
We had a great experience in wheel-throwing under Jiang Lao Shiβs patient step-by-step guidance. She was clear and succinct with her instructions, and also very encouraging. She offered to take photos for us during the session as well! :) With her, the session was conducted very fruitfully and light-heartedly.
We saw and learnt how tedious the process is behind glazing etc, hence I feel that the $10 surcharge for that is reasonable.
Overall, I feel that Clayable is very customer-centred at every point of my experience with them. If you are interested to have a go at pottery, this is a great and affordable place to begin with! I am confident that the team at Clayable will help you to maximise the fun and therapeutic elements of pottery, with a piece of functional hand-made product to bring home with you! :)

β β β β β Attended the clay making trial class purchased via Shopback. It was a good deal for a first hand wheel throwing experience. The class timing was very flexible as it was not conducted with a certain minimum number of students required at a fixed schedule. We could actually arrange with the studio on the timing we desire. The class was also conducted in a free and easy manner, relaxed mode as we progressed at our own pace. Our tutor, Ms Jiang, is very friendly and taught us patiently on the step-by-step up to completing our own piece. Of course, she didn't forget to hop in to check on our progress and came to our rescue whenever our piece started to go out of shape. It's an overall very nice experience, and totally recommended for anyone looking for a hand on pottery!

β β β β β First time doing pottery, and actually registered for a 2.5 hours workshop for 2 pax. We were a party of 3, and our third party wanted to walk around during the workshop. The instructor was kind enough to allow him to watch us and see the process, though he was not keen to participate in it.
She started with giving instructions on what to do, and with each step we asked questions such as reasons why and other things to ensure we were on the right track. She constantly checked our progress and advised us accordingly, which is very helpful given that it was my first time.
My friend and I were able to make 2 pieces each, and the instructor even helped with engraving. Though we were charged $10/piece for firing and glazing, we still felt it was worth due to the expertise and knowledge that was shared to us during the workshop. From assisting to make each piece that we envisioned, to ultimately choosing the desired colour, the experience was very light hearted and encouraging.
Would recommend this place for anybody who is keen to try pottery out, including first-timers.

β β β β β Firstly, the place is spacious; air-conditioned area and non air-conditioned area. The latter is not hot at all. The 'instructors' were patient and nice. It is a step-by-step process, easy for kids to follow. My kids who are 8 and 9 years old completed their pottery, and they look amazing. Nice place to spend quality time with family members. We will definately visit the place again?

β β β β β The teacher was really helpful. She spends a lot of time guiding you in both Chinese & English. You get to learn 1-1 and they will make sure to guide you to have a nice finished product. The time for the pots to finish firing is quite long as they have a long queue of pots waiting to be fired. Overall a great experience and would recommend people to try it out. It was super fun!

β β β β β Easy to book but a bit far from transports. 50min offer for 2 on fave for 59$. Need to pay additional 10$ for the glazing and color. A teacher is there to show you how to do. Need to wait 2/3months before taking back. Good to learn as a first time! I recommend.
