Prof Eu has very deep technical expertise and sympathy for his patients. My Mom is a Pioneer Generation member. She first went to him more than a decade ago for piles, when he was head of renal dept in SGH. Though a minor condition, he explained the procedure clearly in layman terms and reassured her multiple times. He came across as very personable and cares a lot for his patients. That left a deep impression on us. This time, my Mom had a bad inflammation of the large intestines. We first went to a public hospital which only did a CT scan and blood test, monitored and then discharged her after 3 days. However, my Mom deteriorated rapidly. I googled Prof Eu online and came to this Mount E clinic. By then it was already 2 weeks after her inflammation started. We are very thankful we made this choice. Prof Eu ordered comprehensive tests, laid out the possibilities, then explained his assessment and recommendation very clearly to me. He could zoom in on the most likely scenario based on his vast experience. He described the procedure clearly in layman terms (similar to our earlier experience), then explained the risks and likelihood of complications in my Mom’s case. He also initiated collaboration with his peers as tests showed my Mom also had a lung infection. After the procedure, my Mom recovered slower than expected. During then, Prof Eu updated me almost on a daily basis because he clearly understood the gravity of the situation (2 weeks of delay previously and her advanced age). His clinic is very well organized. His small team of nurses / administrators helped me navigate the hospital and medisave rules and collaborated very well with Prof Eu. I would be quite lost otherwise. I highly recommend this clinic.
