Staff forgot to give chili, because he was too busy talking to his friend who delivered Nasi Padang Istimewa. Without chili, nothing carries this dish. Mediocre food, poor service.

I ordered the bee hoon soto ayam. It was so oily and the portion is so small for $7plus. And it taste more like Tom Yum than soto ayam. Disappointing...

The smashed fried duck is ridiculously salty and was unbearable to eat. I couldn’t take a bite without a full spoonful of rice and a gulp of water.

This is a relatively new food outlet at the basement of tiong bahru plaza. Tried their ayam pengyet set that comes with lime juice or ice lemon tea. Need to be careful when selecting the level of spiciness for the chilli. We thought 3 was average and mid way between level 1 - 5. Wow, we were wrong and too ambitious! Maybe level 1 or 2 would be more suitable. The chicken and tempeh are ok and the chilli enhances it well.

First of all, the food here is good for its price. The beef was good, tender on the inside and you can even choose your spice level. The chicken was also quite decent and it wasn’t dry. However, do note that it’s cash only. The queue was taking a bit long. (Had to wait for around 20 minutes and there was only 2 people in front of me) but it’s fine. We ordered, found a table and waited. 30 minutes pass by until I got impatient and went up to the counter. The guy looked at me and ignored me, probably having to do more stuff and was busy. I called him to ask him about my order and he just put his hand up in a stop sign and continued to ignore me. I was practically glaring at them at this point because I was very hungry and impatient. Then on, the people there finally started coming out of the kitchen with my order. You might be thinking that maybe it’s because they were busy and they couldn’t serve us in a hurry. But there was only a few people in the restaurant and the people in front of us already got their orders in like 10 minutes. We didn’t even order a lot, just 2 mains and a soup and 2 drinks. My mother had only 5 minutes to finish eating everything because she still had to walk to her workplace. All in all, good food, good price but very very long wait. If you have to go to work after your break, it’s best to take away the food rather than eating here.

Placed order around 11am via Grab for takeaway. I understand it's also lunch time so delays are understandable. ETA shown was an hour so 12 - 12:15; after some time, ETA increased and now showed 12:45 then further till it eventually ended at 1330hrs. Pity as I was looking forward to trying their spicy chilli. Perhaps for the staff to turn off the app if unable to accommodate orders coming in

Authentic hot, spicy, burning sambal. Start low. First try, the ayam penyet was really good - crispy and moist and tasty. A couple of weeks later, got the ayam penyet again, but it was disappointingly cold and tough. Never been disappointed with the fried pomfret. Although you might not see any queue, waiting time can be unpredictable sometimes. Pretty friendly staff.
