Quality sashimi and sushi at reasonable prices. Staff were attentive and good place to have a quiet lunch just slightly away from busy Orchard Road

The food is overpriced and the quality is so so only. The staff explained that the sashimi came in fresh the day I visited however it does not taste so. (Not saying that it isn’t but it just does not compare to those fresh one I had tried). What turns me off was the fried chicken, I could only taste the oil. Probably a good place to drink and hangout but not for a proper dinner.

Very nice cozy place upstairs with extensive menu - all made fresh with good taste. Normal prices as you would expect of a good Japanese restaurant

Had a remarkable dinner at @fukusenrestaurant last week during their soft launch. I would recommend going for their omakase as everything I had was absolutely enjoyable. However, if I have to choose, I would pick the following: ▫️ Oyster w/ Spinach Dressing & Truffle Oil ▫️ Tempuras ▫️ Sushi What I have in this post is Akagai / Ark Shell clam, I love it! Size was huge, sweet meat with a firm & crunchy texture.

This is my second time here for my craving for their always lovely handmade plum wine. They also diligently mistook my order of Torikawaage into Torikaraage, while the Okonomiyaki is not that awesome. Therefore, three stars for my own way of average appraisal.

Food is overprice to what you expected in a single dish and the taste is average. Iced green tea is the best of all. Without ordering sashimi and alcoholic beverage, my bill was around $30 per person, including 10% of service charge and separate tax. One star for the cleanliness/atmosphere of the restaurant and nice decoration of food. ? Hiyashi Udon $15.80 - The noodle and the sauce was nice, but spent high price to get only the noodle and sauce. No piece of meat. ?Eihire yaki (Stingray) $12.80 - The taste was delicious but the portion was too small. The portion is for a starter of one person. ?Soba noodle with tempura $18.80 - You can order only noodle or with tempura. The noodle comes with either soba or udon, soup and one piece of EXTREMELY THIN fish cake. Mine was less than 1 millimeter. Soba texture was terrible, better to offer only udon for this dish. ?Ninniku Chahan (Fried rice) $12.80 - It was a normal fried rice with only egg and garlic that you can cook at home. ?Even though the restaurant was not busy, only 3 tables of customers, the staff was blurred. [Detailed review] The staff didn’t write down the order that we pointed on the menu and forgot what we ordered. The staff walked back to ask us what we had ordered. Please improve the portion of ingredients, taste and service.

Celebrated my birthday here - a hidden unpolished gem. Really hope they get more support. They didn't have their shipment of premium sashimi, so we stuck with the moraiwase with 5 kinds of premium fish. Everything was fresh and spot on, and there was a huge piece of wasabi root for us to have freshly grated wasabi. We ordered the naigaimo somen (birthday must have noodles right?) and realised that it was the Japanese yam finely chopped into the thickness of somen. And I realised that Chef Momo was the one who made it earlier (cos I heard him furiously chopping something). We weren't sure if it was really him, or it was through some machine so we checked with him when he came over to talk to us. Really good knife skills! The chicken karaage is one of the best I have had. It doesn't taste as though it came out of a frozen pack that someone threw into the deep fryer - it was juicy, crispy and well-seasoned but not salty. I would say the only thing I wasn't that satisfied with was the sake. But hey, I was cheapo and went with their cheaper house brand sake at $38 for 300ml, and I didn't go for something more premium, so I got what I paid for. Will definitely come back again, and try more of their menu.
