β β β β β It feels like Iβm back in Hong Kong; I bought quite a few snacks home. My favourite snack is the βwife biscuitβ, it is freshly baked, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, buttery and sweet.

β β β β β Wife cake and century egg pastries are top sellers and the best pastries from Hang Heung. Glad to know they run business in SG last year (2019). Long queue as usual, you shall try their second branch at Raffles City. Price wise 50% more than their price in HK. Size of wife cake also looks a bit smaller than I had in HK. ?

β β β β β OMG the winter melon paste of Hang Heung wife cake taste SOUR.
Bought 1box from Raffles City SC on 21Sept2021 (6.30pm batch) for mooncake festival and was really disappointed.

β β β β β We bought 3 boxes of pastries and egg tarts and 1 tin of country eggroll. Wife cake was on the sweet side. The other pastries were ok. I would like to highlight that the tin of eggroll has a dented inner lid. The rolls at the bottom were also crushed. Previously when we bought the handmade tin eggroll, everything was good. But this time, the country eggroll is not ok. Very expensive and not worth it. Pay so much to get crushed eggrolls. ??ββοΈ

β β β β β Tried the black sesame and peanut mochi LBP. Love it. The filling was as chewy as the original. My fav is the peanut mochi. Prefer it over original as original tasted too sweet.

β β β β β Was excited to try their century egg pastry. Was awfully disappointed by how small a portion the century egg was in it. No taste of century egg at all. Despite it being in a shape that looks like an egg, it's just bean paste with not even one bite of century egg. Would not buy again.

β β β β β Trying the mooncake from this Hong Kong Hang Hueng at City Hall. Had their baked skin double yoke mooncake, surprisingly quite good cos the yoke is not oily, the lotus paste is silky smooth and not sweet which I like and best part is does not have the fancy ingredients. Definitely will try their plain bake mooncake and see how it stack up against other brands.

β β β β β We are big fans of their wife cake and eggroll. It's a must buy everytime we were in HK. So happy when they open in SG. We first bought the wife cake from Ion Orchard, the cake taste like what we have had in HK. We tried the outlet at Raffles City. Its a big disappointment. The wife cake is totally a let down. The melon is too soft and overly sweet. Its like too much sugar being added so there is no more chewy texture. This is definitely not their HK wife cake quality. It's out first time and will also be our last time to buy from this outlet. The QC shall keep the standard consistency for all outlets.
