Hilwah Maid Agency - #04-08

Had a maid with them and in just two weeks the maid didn't want to continue working. They didn't do anything much and when we wanted to get another maid in replacement of the current one, we had to pay a sum which was ridiculous. Hidden cost not told to us at the start.

A good employment agency plays a vital part in helping us working parents look for the "best match" that suits our needs. Hilwah Maid Agency has been dependable when I had issues with my ex-helper and through them as well, I met my current helper of which I am grateful for. The agent is reliable, they listen to my needs and are very helpful in assisting to find the best match and are present during difficult times. Best thing is, the agency fee is among the most reasonable rates in the market. Everything is clear. No regrets and I am 100% satisfied. They will be my go to maid agency in future when the contract ends, insha Allah! p/s: This is not a paid review and I do not get any gains. This is a feedback for the public from my personal experience.

If there is anything than one star i will click it. Basically engaged their company to get a FDW in July 2020. After selected a maid, was informed that the maid will enter SG in the month of September. A day before thr maid entered, she ran away in Indonesia. Agency called me and informed that i need to choose another maid. (First red flag) Decided to choose the another one and eventually she entered Singapore. Started to work at my house on the 15/12/2020. While at the agency was told that her eyesight was not good. 16/12/2020 @ 0300hrs saw thr maid leave her room but upon seeing me she went back yo her room. During the stay on 16/12/2020 she informed that she cannot do alot of things. So decided to lessen her chores. 17/12/2020 at 2000hrs, my aunt called to loook for my maid. CCTV showes that she left house at 1917hrs and never returned. Went to one of the police station and saw the maid there. She say she wanted to leave Sg and did not wishes to work in Sg and did not want to return back to agency. She claimed that she was threaten. After which the agency eventually agreed to take her back to the agency. 18/12/2020 meet up the agent with the maid. Asked the agent did anyone threaten her. The agent informed that they told her not to return back to the agency and if she does, they will send her to another employer where she need to feed dogs and eat pork. The maid did mentioned that to the police too. The agent said that it is their tactic so that the FDW will work. Upon asking for refund they say there is no refund for the agency fee. But throughout the time they been asking for my singpass to make the application for the maid. I was naive and stupid to provide them everything. So i WILL NEVER RETURN BACK TO HILWAH to look for FDW. I have hence get another agency to look for FDW and it was a smooth sailing one.
