Fish was reasonably fresh and the soup is on the bland side. Suitable for folks who prefers it healthy. Not too generous on the fish. Ordered the medium 5.50 bowl. Maybe it's due to high cost of ingredients. Old stall that requires more support.

Located on 2nd floor.. came during dinner time, lesser crowd and i like the ol school taste of soup. Nothing too salty nor overwhelming. Very light and easy to have warming the tummy.

Best fish soup in Hong Lim! Usually has a queue at lunch time so best to either come earlier or later. They still serve at 2+ coming 3pm so it’s great for the late lunchers! Fried egg white portions are generous and add a crunch to your bowl of goodness

Real good tom yam fish soup. Shoutouts to the friendly ladies manning the store. Best is to come after office lunch hours. Soup is really flavourful too!

One of the best fish soup I have ever eaten. Light and delicious soup, coupled with fresh fish, and the fried fish/eggs (must eat). Highly recommend this stall! Support our local hawkers ❤️

Hong Lim Hawker Centre, besides a famous myraid of famous eats and Michelin offerings, deserving or not is another story. Fish soup offerings alone there's three separate stalls. And we are not including the Sotong ball, the Spinach soup stalls' variants. Still as a Lunch only location, come any one weekday, the longest queue for fish soup will be lao K. On a rainy wet Wednesday late lunch at 2pm, only Lao K still has a 5 person deep queue for this comfort food. Usually I only go for pure fresh fish slices soup, but as I notice the general orders here ahead of me, customers prefer the fried fish and Tom yam versions with egg floss toppings. Alright double fish soup. Fried and Fresh, no additions. For a start, on their fairly clean counter, you get to choose or have 2 kinds of chilli's besides shallot and coriander toppings. That's a great start. On Tuck in, the soup is not the purest fish tasting, but it's a nice mix of great tasting fish bone soup, sole fish and shallot flavours. No extra additives as I do not feel thirsty at all long afterwards. Fish slices wise, I have a nice mix of 4 slices of batang and 5 small batter fried batang nuggets. My only gripe is for one, the fried nuggets could have been bigger, or the slices of fresh fish thicker. That you cannot beat Han Kee of Amoy, both fish and soup offerings. Anyhow this is a very good rendition and a respectable 4 stars for the price. Value for the soup and the enormous amount of greens given. But personally I am not a fan of the egg floss. Good soup nonetheless.
