A gem of an eatery in Ion. 5 stars for quality food and value for money in a sea of over priced eateries. Bonus points for prompt service and for hardworking crew as last order is 9.30pm while the rest of B4 closes at 9pm. The quality of food is surprising better than expected, with nice tasting miso soup. Overall a very good place for Japanese casual dining at a very affordable pricing.

Good friendly staffs. Easy ordering. Wait is reasonable versus when they opened with their first outlet at Somerset. Come here now and then whenever we crave for tempura. Simple, no frill. Eat and go. Yum yum ?

Went on Saturday when they open at 11am. Not much of a queue, but the restaurant was filled up by 1130. Ordered Tori tendon since I read good reviews about it. Waited about 20 mins before it was served. Do note that they have seem to have a policy of minimum order of 1 main per dine-in customer. I heard ppl complaining about the tendon not being crispy so I suggest ppl to ask them to not put any sauce on the tendon during ordering. Simple solution since they provide the sauce on the table already. Mine stayed crispy till the end of my meal (30 mins) Tori tendon came with 7 pieces of tempura: 2 chicken breast 2 karrage 1 tempura egg 2 vegetable (sweet potato & pumpkin) Tempura egg was done perfectly with the oozing egg in the middle to mix with the rice. Karrage is crispy and well marinated, standard japanese fare but good quality. The chicken breast is also very well done as it was not dry as mentioned by other reviewers. Meat was tender and the meat is lightly marinated as well. The tempera batter doesn't really have much taste but just provide the nice crunch to the ingredients. Can see why some ppl don't like it but I'm a fan since the meat was salty enough for me to enjoy the meat tempura. For $10.90 before sc & tax, the amount is quite generous with 7 tempura/rice & miso soup. I don't feel the rice was too little as I was quite full by end of the meal. Will come back to try their ebi and other tempura next time. Kinda wish they give you an option to add the tempura egg to their other dons.

A very decent tempura meal + set. Reasonable price for $15.90 that comes with cold soba + full set of tempura and rice !! Waitress will chase you away if your food is done during lunch hour though. Will recommend for quick lunch or sole lunch eater.

The most affordable tendon place I have ever been in Singapore so far! The food is amazing and the batter was coated just nice so it tasted great! The sauce and chilli flakes bottles are on the counter so it’s free flow and they complemented well with the rice! Would definitely visit again!

Had dinner for two, place had a queue on a weekday night. Food took some waiting to arrive but quite nice and light. Soba was cold and refreshing. Overall a good place for tempura

Very very value for money tempura tendon in the very heart of Orchard! I would definitely recommend this tendon joint. The tempura is not oily and fried to a crisp. The staff was accommodating to seat us even though it was close to closing time. I had the mixed seafood tempura and the prawns were fresh. I liked the texture and taste of the pumpkin. The staff was pretty polite, and even helped to check with the kitchen when I requested if I could order an order of fries after the last order. Restaurant was very clean and I liked that there is an automated hand washing machine just before the counter. Restaurants should consider having this device before their cashier just so that customers will wash their hands just after their meal.

Ordered the Seafood Tendon and Tori Tendon Set Meal. Each meal comes with miso soup. I like how the tempura was crunchy and not too oily. The chicken breast in the tori tendon set was quite juicy and soft. The only thing I didn't like was the french beans in the Seafood Tendon set. They also offer the sauce which goes well with the tempura. Quite cheap compared to other Tendon restaurants but still good quality.
