β β β β β A very underwhelming meal. All the dishes lack the characteristic aromatic char of a good teppanyaki. The black pepper sauce had no peppery kick. We were recommended to pay $3 to upgrade to the garlic fried rice, but it too, lacked garlic taste and the 'wok hei' of a good fried rice. Paid ~$57 for the meal.

β β β β β We walked past this corner eatery on Sunday evening after a Thai boat noodle dinner. Today, my son and I had our lunch here.
The place; small, cosy and with a warm home-like ambience. The lady owner and manager, Jasmine; very friendly, and eager to help.
The food; tasty, and of high quality.
Ok. The sides were good but nothing to shout about. Itβs expected in a place like this and for what theyβre worth, they were ok.
What took the cake and the candles for us was what we were hesitant to try in the first place; the tenderloin beef cubes. I was looking at a menu with teppanyaki lunch sets priced below $10, completed with drinks, and we flipped the menu over and were greeted with this at $28 apiece ala carte. I didnβt know what to expect of this in a small cafe eatery like this, and felt it a little costly for lunch. My son suggested we give it a chance and so we went ahead with our order.
The beef was drenched in a mushroom pepper sauce, with a tinge of peppery aftertaste; just enough to give it flavour, but not enough to mask the buttery, milky flavour of the grain-fed steak; one of the better ones we have eaten thus far!
What can we say against meat so tender and juicy it melts in your mouth, and mine was close to well-done too if I must add!
We Love the place, and the food has a quality befitting a restaurant in town!
We will come back!

β β β β β Popped in for a quick lunch and I gotta say, what a hidden gem! The seating capacity is really tiny and weβre glad to have caught it at a non-busy period. We had the stingray, pork slices and beef tenderloin. All tasted amazing but the star of the show was definitely the beef tenderloin. We requested for medium-rare and it was cooked to perfection - so tender and flavourful. The second favourite was the garlic rice.
The sides of miso soup and bean sprouts were nothing to scream home about but they were good enough.
Bill came up to around $50++ for 2 pax which is great for such quality. Recommended!
Edit: went back again and was not disappointed!

β β β β β This is really a hidden gem. We ordered the seafood combo and lamb slice set. All the dishes were really tasty! Its a pity that there were not many seats available due to the small space. Otherwise everything else was great! Would definitely come back next time!

β β β β β Ordered a lamb set and a mentaiko salmon set to share for 2 pax. Tender thin sliced lamb in black pepper sauce and salmon was cooked to the right doneness. An altogether delightful meal.

β β β β β Went for lamb rack and chef did a great job ??
Tasty and tender, will be back!
One very nice gesture is that he stir fry chilli padi w sauce when I ask for chili.
Lady at front of house is very courteous too :)

β β β β β Visited this place on Sat around 5.30pm, my friend and I were seated on the chef table, next to the front door. We ordered tenderloin beef set ($28), scallop set ($18) and changed our rice to garlic rice (top up $3 each), thus the total bill was $52 nett. They only accept cash, nets and PayLah/PayNow.
Garlic rice was fragrant but a little too moist. Bean sprouts and miso soup were good. Beef tenderloin were really tender but the black pepper taste could be stronger, perhaps would be tastier if garlic was added. Scallops were fresh. Service was prompt. Will visit again to try other dishes.

β β β β β Polite Staff and most importantly food is nice. Tried the teriyaki cod fish set today and katsu as a side.. it was fresh and juicy. Added on a second serving of bean sprout too. Worth a try!
