★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food at Koji isn’t extraordinary but rather solid. I had the Wagyu bowl and it was nice. The service wasn’t amazing - they tried to remove my plate several times before I was finished. Would be nice if they asked first and then touched the plate with their hands. Basically, it felt as if they wanted me to leave ASAP. The seats and atmosphere could be more comfy. Overall an ok place for a quick lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall, it was not a bad meal. The iced matcha latte was on the sweeter side but the matcha flavour was strong. While the wagyu beef was delicious, the price point was on the more expensive side. The prawn tempura tasted ok. The raw oyster was fresh and the wasabi tako tasted good. The sashimi rice bowl with uni was still quite good, but expected a larger scoop of uni given the additional price of $12++. I had dined at the restaurant a few times in the past, but it seemed like the food did not taste as good as compared in the past.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small sushi-sashimi joint with very personalised service and fresh Japanese produce. Food was excellent and good value for money especially the Chirashi Don. Marin was very focused and there is also an Omkase option. Drinks menu extensive. Sit at the counter and watch the chef in action!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fish in the special sashimi rice bowl is fresh. I didn’t really like the addition of the yolk and yam which turned the texture of the rice into a mushy texture. The tako wasabi is fresh and good too. Tempura is better than average but not the best I’ve had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Omakase was good ! Even the gari ( ginger ) was good. The fruits were a tad over ripe for my liking . Service was good too . Will definitely come back when I am in town for more dishes at this restaurant . Glad I had my 1st omakase experience here .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great and slightly hidden find - after a super disappointing experience I had at Sushi Raku in the basement, a friend told me about Koji sushi bar. It was so much more cosy, delicious and filling. Staff were friendly and nice. Their lunch sets and sashimi salad were awesome. Went back another time for dinner and it was equally awesome! Love it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was good, the guy took our order was very helpful and patient. Ok now food, the oysters were good and refreshing, the eel rice bowl was underwhelming, eel was quite fishy and rubbery, rice was overly cooked. Firefly squid was buried under mayonnaise and quite tasteless. Sashimi and sushi are just so so. Ambiance was nice though, quiet and cozy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my first time here and I really love the ambience. We ordered the popular chirashi don. The portion was huge and sashimi was really fresh. The rice was also very fragrant. Definitely worth the money! We also ordered wagyu sukiyaki, pork cheek don, sweet potato tempura, and some sushi. Overall, the food left a great impression and we look forward to our next visit here!
