★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited the food court in Donki during dinner crowd.
Service was prompt and friendly. They will provide a buzzer to pick up the food so you can wait at your table as they prepare your order.
Order the signature tsukumen set that comes with either a side of edamame or 3pc goyza, and a canned drink.
The tsukumen dip was slightly watery compared to the ones I had in Japan. That said, it's still flavourful but just doesn't coat the ramen well as a dip. The ramen was average and portion is okay for 1pax. Also served with the ramen are the usual toppings and a chashu slice. The meat is tender with the right amount of fat, but somewhat lacking in marinade and searing. The gyoza was the gem in the set meal. It was lightly fried to a crunchy crisp, while the fillings are still juicy and steaming hot. The fillings mixture has a good balance between meat to veg ratio and is gone as soon as you start to enjoy them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tsukemen was great with the dipping broth being strongly flavored with bonito. Adding the stock into the broth at the end also made a great soup. Will eat again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was supposed to be a hot and rich dipping broth but I felt like the broth was not at all hot. The noodles might have been hotter than the broth when it should have been the other way round. Could be better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible bowl of ramen.
Yellow noodles that taste of the wanton mee noodles. Soup is diluted and menma had off smell and sour. Horrible for a bowl of $11.90 noodles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Okay tonkotsu broth and fast service but that's all to it. What you get for S$13.90 (in Nov21) is a bowl of carb, with a one-bite piece of chashu. Noodle, while springy, carried very strong smell of gi/ki (potassium carbonate, thing that make noodle springy) that you get from hawker center wanton mee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4x costlier than cup ramen with 1/4 of the satisfaction. The soup was thick and flavourless. Noodles tasted like instant noodles. Do come here if you enjoy disappointing your taste buds.
Dishes ordered:
Classic Tonkotsu Ramen
Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tsukemen TETSU is located in the food court of the DON DON DONKI outlet in JEM. Was feeling hungry while shopping and Tsukemen is one of my favorite Japanese dishes.
I ordered the Special Set Promo which comes with the Main Course, 1 Side (I chose the gyoza) and 1 Drink.
The service was pretty fast, didn't need to wait that long.
The broth was steaming hot, just how it's supposed to be and the taste was very strong and heavy which is my favorite. The noodles were soft and springy and it managed to absorb the broth. The chashu was a pity as it was bland and a bit tough. The crispy ebi gyoza was superb and made me want more. Super crunchy ?.
Overall, I enjoyed the meal. Everything was pretty good for its price and accessibility as its in a food court setting. I could see myself coming back here some times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their tsukemen was probably the best around though the high cost prevented me from having it more often. The standard seems consistent all these years though I think the chashu used to be much thicker cut. Also, you need to be a fast eater to enjoy it as the taste will get stale once the dipping broth starts to get lukewarm. Likewise, the self-service complimentary soup after the meal to mix with the dipping broth was unnecessary since both the broth & soup are no longer hot enough to really enjoy it.
