Best Japanese restaurant in Singapore

L	Liz Tan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Difficult ordering experience. Staff needs to be more familiarized with the menu. I went for lunch today and ordered the Asari garlic butter dish. First I was served clam soup. Then I asked the server if it’s right and they took it away. Then they served me some clam stir fry with no chili inside, so I asked again if it’s the correct dish. The staff reassured me that it’s correct, so I showed them the menu picture and description that there is supposed to be chili. Then the staff went away and came back with a small platter of chili padi and put it on the table with a sigh, said “it’s just garnishing.” then walked away. I understand that lunchtime crowd can be quite stressful for wait staff so I will not name anyone publicly but it was a poor experience trying to order this dish and the server attitude made me feel like I was being troublesome when I really just wanted to have a nice simple meal. Pls make it permanent instead of limited period only... ? Btw the lady service staff is very attentive n friendly, the guy in charge of seating arrangements is very professional too (sorry I didn't know their names). Good job guys???? I'll definitely be back for the zero-meat menu again!? *visited on 20/8/21 830pm

P	Peter Limb on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quick lunch before walking it off at IMM. Second Ichiban Sushi visited in 2-day streak ? Shared a mouth-watering beef set ? The ebi prawns were just perfect!!! Not too thick on the batter and fresh tasting prawns ???

QR ordering, it was good to have additional physical menu available for elderly to browse. ✅️ ? Sushi items - fresh and good. Nice! ? Wasabi and soy sauce only given upon request. Chicken Katsu Toji - Very nicely presented. Served piping hot. Portion was big and chicken katsu was tender and juicy. ? Down side, the sauce was very salty ?. Gyoza - thou presented on a teppan but served warm. Sauce was sweet. Overall quite nice.? ? Udon - Normal item. Served hot ? Chawamushi - seems abit over cooked. Other than the outlook, the chawamushi was hot and good.? Service staff were helpful and polite.? ? Green tea refilled promptly without having the need to ask. Food serving not fast enough, waited very long time for items to come.⌛️ Ended up cancelling items. Overall good experience, except food waiting time.

The menu is filled with a wide variety of dishes and as always, the pictures matched up to the actual product. I ordered a delicious salmon and octopus salad that came with a tangy dressing, as well as my usual Chicken Katsu Don plus a hot green tea. The price is reasonable and the restaurant is clean and well-kept.
